For a city or a people to be truly free they must have the secure right, without economic, political or police pressure to make their own choice and to live their own lives. And as I have said before, if anyone doubts the extent to which our presence is desired by the people of America we are ready to have that question submitted to a free vote in all the world, and, if possible, among all the American people.
