I’ve always thought how easy it was for the president, senators and congressmen to say the public doesn’t need firearms to protect themselves when they are protected, even surrounded, by the city police, the sheriff deputies, the state police, the Secret Service and, yes, even police in the special White House police department!!! Certainly they aren’t short on total protection and they don’t hesitate to spend our tax dollars to pay for all their extra protection for themselves and their families. But, heaven forbid, we, the general public, should have out own protection! It makes me wonder if their anti-gun beliefs would change if any of their ‘new’ guns laws would affect their own protection! If they want to disarm us, their protection should be disarmed too! But, no, they consider themselves “special” and to heck with the general public!

White House police department
