2014: Year in which Americans woke to the threat of socialism-communism and, like the Tea Party movement, began to fight back

Looking Into My 2014 Crystal Ball

Pundits are expected to make predictions for the year ahead and far be it for me to avoid what, generally speaking, depends on who is making them. Major trends are already in place and easy to predict as they proceed, but it is always unknown events that upend predictions. Mother Nature and perpetrators of evil can always be counted upon to provide them.

Since the Earth has been in a seventeen-year cooling cycle, I can safely predict there will be no “global warming” in 2014 and, given the other science-based factors, the likelihood is that 2014 will experience more colder weather and may even be an earlier predictor of a mini-ice age much the same as the one that occurred from 1300 to 1850.

As mentioned, it is the unpredictable events that will affect 2014. The good news is that the U.S. has seen far fewer hurricanes, tornadoes, and forest fires in recent years. The global cooling trend, however, is likely to cause more and larger blizzards.

“Climate change”? This is now the basis of all the lies we shall hear from the President to justify his five-year delay of the Keystone oil pipeline, his continued war on coal—affordable electricity—and other Environmental Protection Agency efforts to control our lives while denying the creation of the thousands of jobs the pipeline and other energy-related development would provide. Environmentalism is the enemy of the technologies that have transformed and enhanced our lives.

The November mid-term elections hold the promise of ridding Congress of some of the Democrats who unanimously voted for ObamaCare in 2009. It will also replace those Republicans-in-name-only, RINOs, who have joined Democrats in voting for legislation that advanced the socialism that is strangling the nation by expanding the federal government. I predict the ranks of “independent” voters will increase in 2014.

The erosion of the Democratic Party base will continue as ObamaCare afflicts millions of Americans who will lose their healthcare insurance plans, be deprived of using their personal physician, and see their costs increase. It is the essence of communism, providing the government with control over one’s life and, in too many cases, causing many to die for the lack of plans they previously had or the costs of those they are required to purchase. Those leaving the party will include women and the younger generation leaving college to discover there aren’t any jobs to help them cope with the debt they incurred to attend. Hispanics, too, show signs of leaving.

It is hard to predict what will occur within the Republican Party whose leadership has engaged in denunciations of the Tea Party movement. However, when the Tea Party movement elects more committed conservative GOP candidates, it will save the nation and the party. Suffice to say that Obamacare will be the gift that keeps on giving in 2014. It will, in time, be repealed.

Obama’s failed foreign policy will ensure that former allies will cease to trust the U.S. to support their need to deal with the rising threat of Islamic jihad in the Middle East and Africa. Obama has lost Egypt and Saudi Arabia as long-time allies. Israel is in a particularly perilous situation and the outcome of the Syrian civil war does not bode well for it or its neighbor Jordan.

Iran will be the greatest threat of war since the 1930s. And, yes, the U.S.-led “deal” will fail.

Polls reveal a growing unhappiness with the U.S. Congress. The President’s performance ratings have been falling and will continue to do so in 2014. The problem is the growth of socialism that began during and in the wake of the Great Depression of the 1930s. The pension debt and other benefits resulting from government worker unions has forced Detroit into bankruptcy and other American cities will follow.

By executive order the President just raised government salaries by 1%. Can he do that? Not really. Only the House can authorize such expenditures. Can he change ObamaCare without consulting Congress? Not really.

The mainstream media will continue to lose its credibility as the Internet affords Americans alternative means of finding out what is really occurring as opposed to the deceptive and manipulative efforts of the Obama administration. Having raised voter’s expectations of Obama, his fall will be dramatic in 2014. The mainstream media is largely composed of liberals who are the result of the transformation of education into socialist indoctrination that began in the 1960s. By contrast, conservative print and broadcast media will thrive. Fox News has more viewers than the networks and CNN, combined.

Events such as the current attack on Southern Sudan, and the on-going slaughter in Syria will continue. Christians throughout the Middle East and Africa will find themselves under continued attack. Muslim-on-Muslim violence will continue. Islamists are devoted to its “holy” war, including its own schism.

In America, privacy, an essential element of the Constitution, will continue to be diminished if Congress does not address the vast collection of information of all of our communications. Read the Fourth Amendment. It says in part that “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…”

We may see more states enact laws to defy ObamaCare. South Carolina is currently the only one. The Tenth Amendment says “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Read the Constitution, you will not find the words “health” in it, nor “education”, nor ‘environment.’ The federal government should get out of these aspects of our lives.

My most positive prediction is that historians will look back at 2014 as the year in which Americans woke to the threat of socialism-communism and, like the Tea Party movement, began to fight back.

Leaving Afghanistan

Middle East holds the promise of a very ugly future. The implications for the U.S. can only be ignored at our peril

Leaving Afghanistan

On December 31, the United States is slated to begin removing its troops from Afghanistan. They have been there since shortly after 9/11 in 2001. At this writing, Afghan President Hamid Karzai has refused to sign a security agreement that would permit contingents of U.S. and allied troops there to train and assist its security forces beyond the end of 2014.

Karzai says we have different definitions for terrorists. They were and they are the Taliban. He wants to negotiate with them. On Christmas day they attacked the U.S. embassy in Kabul. No one was injured.

In late December, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Martin Dempsey, held a Pentagon press conference in which they asserted that the Afghan security forces are capable of “overcoming and, in most cases, overwhelming their Taliban competitors for control of Afghanistan,” but that they “lack confidence.” In addition, they face a political transition in their central government, the outcome of which is unpredictable.

President Obama deemed the Afghan conflict a good war in contrast to Iraq. Since the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, it has been in a state of political crisis with constant attacks that kill Iraqis on a weekly basis. On Christmas day, Christians were attacked three times in Baghdad, Iraq, killing at least 37.

At the heart of the Afghan and Iraq problem is Islam

At the heart of the Afghan and Iraq problem is Islam, its long battle between Sunnis and Shiites, and its enduring hatred of Christians, Jews and all other faiths.

We’re in Afghanistan because it was an al Qaeda staging area for 9/11. Had we taken the approach that freed Kuwait from Iraqi conquest in 1990, we would have been in and out in short order. The U.S. led assault on Iraqi forces began in mid-January 1991 and it was over by late February.

Instead, we remained in Afghanistan. There were 630 U.S. casualties in the years between 2001 and 2008, but following Obama’s “surge” they increased to 1,544 between 2009 and 2012. In 2013, there have been 126. The Taliban suffered casualtiesl, but they did not go away. Parked in Pakistan, their main support, they can and will return. Much of Afghanistan’s problems stem from the establishment of Pakistan in 1947.

The National Priorities Project tracks the cost of the Afghanistan conflict, asserting that taxpayers have paid $683,242,655, 879 (and growing) since it began in 2001, calculating that it costs $10.45 million an hour.  The Iraq war cost $816,255,519,665.http://nationalpriorities.org/cost-of/

Neither conflict produced a desired outcome and, combined with Obama’s agenda to withdraw the U.S. from any military role in the Middle East, many Americans are believed to have embraced a neo-isolationism whose roots reach back to the Vietnam conflict and earlier. The reality is that most have grave doubts and concerns about five years of failed foreign policy by the Obama administration that has sided with Islamists.

A recent Pew poll said that 52% believe “the U.S. should mind its own business internationally and let other countries get along the best they can on their own.”  The problem with that is the prospect of Middle East and African nations in which al Qaeda and other jihadists would gain control and expand their holy war on the West.

In an analysis of Afghanistan after a U.S. withdrawal, Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies,http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hit/afghanistan-after-the-us-drawdown/ and an adjunct assistant professor in Georgetown University’s security studies program, noted recently that “Afghanistan has known some 2,600 years of foreign invasion. The invaders did much “to shape the country’s culture, religion, politics, and geography, and some of Afghanistan’s most critical turning points came as those invaders left the scene.”

There is considerable irony in what occurred when the then-Soviet Union invaded and was eventually forced out by Afghans and jihadists like Osama bin Laden who received considerable aid from the U.S. to drive out its army in 1989. This was followed by its collapse in 1991 and Afghanistan did as well, “into anarchy and civil war.”

Several scenarios were offered by Gartenstein-Ross, but given Afghanistan’s history few hold out much hope for a strong centralized government. As the Taliban say, the U.S. military wears watches while they measure time in decades and centuries.

My own best guess is that the Taliban conflict in Afghanistan will expand.
Whether an Afghan army, still in its earliest years, can protect a central government is anyone’s guess.

When jihadists are emboldened enough to try to overthrow the Assad regime in Syria and as Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states join together to prepare for or deter a possible conflict with a nuclear-armed Iran, the Middle East holds the promise of a very ugly future. The implications for the U.S. can only be ignored at our peril.

The Hardest Part

My New Year’s resolution is to teach students what Jaybird taught me: When you face a task, do this first — the hardest part

The Hardest Part

One late December day, Jaybird, my boyhood best friend, and I were sitting by the fire, talking about the year behind and the one to come. When I asked him if he’d made any resolutions, he said, “Yep … to stay alive long enough not to make any resolutions for de year after next.”

Then he said, “I been watching how you work. You got a bad habit of doin’ de easy parts of jobs first. Dat’s ’xactly opposite o’ de way you oughta do ’em. Fuh de comin’ year, I want you to do de hardest part of any job first. Remember, de best way out is always through. People who take de easy way out always end up in de same place — out.”

Once again, my old black mentor had shared his great wisdom with me. He understood that when people postpone a job’s hard parts, they diminish the pleasure and sense of accomplishment that completing the task may bring, because they know the parts of the job they are reluctant to undertake still remain undone.

For over a decade, that wisdom has served me well in the classroom. In dealing with college students, I strive to eliminate their weaknesses before improving their strengths. The hard way requires undertaking the most difficult task first: eliminating irresponsible, counterproductive mindsets that hinder learning.

I have observed that many college freshmen have been misled into believing the world owes them whatever they need or want. How wrong! The world was here first — it owes them nothing; they owe the world. A disturbing number of them believe that just showing up for class is good enough, that ignoring the hard tasks — studying and learning — is acceptable … what I call the “entitlement attitude.”

My students discover early that they must abandon that attitude, or fail. When teachers give students what they don’t deserve, they are doing them a terrible injustice. Young people must be taught that earning one’s way in life is requisite to making life meaningful.

They must learn to do the hardest part first; they must realize that nobody starts at the top; they must accept the reality that building a strong educational foundation is one of the hardest parts of becoming an honorable, productive member of society; they must realize that in the workplace, one of the hardest parts will be accepting and completing the sometimes menial responsibilities that come with the initial steps of climbing the ladder to success; they must embrace the inviolable truth that anything worth having is worth struggling for.

Teachers must instill humility in students, and the certainty that an inflated view of one’s importance is bogus self-esteem. Winners are not prima donnas; they are humble, self-reliant, productive people who conquer the most difficult challenges first, and in time realize that doing so provides the experience that makes future challenges easier.

My New Year’s resolution is to teach students what Jaybird taught me: When you face a task, do this first — the hardest part.

Our Children Don’t Want to Live Under the New World Order

Our Children Don’t Want to Live Under the New World Order

This article I do in dedication to my son who our family lost due to suicide Dec 12, 2012,my heart and our family as forever changed of the things in my life this shall stay with all my days,Miss you son DAD

Growing up is filled with challenges, disappointments, excitement and anticipation of the future. Growing up should contain some measure of enjoyment and the self-satisfaction that the pride in our own personal growth can bring. However, for too many of our soon-to-be young adults, life is filled with misery, disappointment and a sense of hopelessness. Society is responsible for providing an environment which fosters growth and the freedom to explore one’s limits. And for decades, America produced children which surpassed the accomplishments and life-style of the previous generation. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.

At one time in this country, parents formed the backbone for child development along with teachers and clergy. Today, the influences on our youth are not what they should be.

Today, where do these influences come from? A Gallup Poll from the late1950′s asked teens to rate their biggest influences on their attitudes and lives and they listed these variables in the following order:
1. Parents       2. Church     3. Teachers                         4. Peers          5. Media

Fifty years later, this same survey produced the following results:
1 & 2. Peers and media were in a virtual tie
3. Parents   4. Teachers    5. Church
(information derived from a conference presentation on child safety sponsored by Arizona States in 2006).

Something Is Terribly Wrong

Increasingly for our young people, the world is not a safe place. In many areas of the country suicide has replaced car accidents as the leading cause of death.

There are an estimated 8-25 attempted suicides for each suicide death. Therefore, the suicide rate is only small representation of the hopelessness being experienced by the younger generation. The misery index in this country for our young people is off the charts.

teen suicide 2Since 1968, suicides for people aged 15-24 have risen over 300%.  Suicide in now the second leading cause of death United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many countries of Western Europe. Russia, Vietnam and India are experiencing similar increases.

What is the number one reason why teens are killing
themselves? The straightforward and simple answer is that they have a foreboding sense of hopelessness.  Life is bleak and meaningless, and all their cell phones, IPADs and X-Box games can not fill the void of emptiness.Hopelessness is the number one predictor of suicide.

This Is Not the Way It Is Supposed To Be
Traditionally, when teens grow into adulthood, they begin to learn that they have a measure of control over their life. Through trial-and-error, teens gain knowledge and acquire the tools necessary to solve their problems in the best way that they could. In the past, when we felt hopeless, we pulled through our crises with the resources we had at our disposal and with the support from friends and family. Increasingly, that support has all but eroded.

For teenagers, their overwhelming sense of hopelessness is enough to cause them to take their own lives. Most teens who survive suicide attempts say that they tried to kill themselves because they were trying to escape a situation that seemed impossible to deal with, or they were trying to escape overwhelming feelings like rejection, guilt, anger, or sadness in which they lacked any significant degree of control.

Even Our Brave Young Warriors Do Not Want To Live In This World

veterans One cannot watch a sporting event or a newscast without some praise being made in relation to our brave young warriors. Despite the glorification of our troops, a U.S. military veteran commits suicide every 65 minutes, or at the rate of 22 per day. When a young man or woman enlists to defend their country, they are idealistic. However, when serving one of their many tours in Afghanistan, they are ordered to guard the opium fields and to not fire upon the drug lords as they pass through military checkpoints. It is easy to understand that these young people can quickly lose their sense of duty and retreat into a lonely world where they trust nobody and their only goal is to survive.

When they are discharged from the service, they return to a nation which has a destroyed economy along with corrupt leaders who make the veterans question their service to their country. Most veterans, as in past wars, are riddled with guilt for the traumatic acts of survival that they had to engage in. However, unlike most of our past wars. they come to learn that their service is a charade, and they do not serve the American people and our national interests. Rather, they come to know that they serve the  stockholders of the oil companies, Goldman Sachs and the corrupt elite that run this planet. This is why Pat Tillman was murdered, because he was going to tell all and the military brass could not allow a person of this standing to reveal the true agenda of the war. Tillman could have become a one man TET offensive, which could have ultimately brought down support for the war in Vietnam.

One could argue that the post-traumatic stress of dealing with combat issues is the major reason why these veterans are killing themselves in record numbers. That might be considered to be true if this was America’s first war. However, compared to all the past wars, both popular and unpopular, our veterans are choosing suicide as a solution for living in a dehumanized world with no hope in record numbers. Children and veterans see through the deceit faster than the rest of us who are blinded by television and new media propaganda.

What Is the Solution?

Teenagers and veterans are the canaries in the mine. By their suicides, children and veterans are telling us how bad our world stinks. The solutions for these mental health issues do not lie within individually treating depression and accompanying suicidal symptoms. The problem I am describing here is systemic and global, not individual in its causation. Our new-found collectivist society is the culprit which is robbing of us our freedom and self-determination.That is the problem. It is inherent for humans to be free and without freedom, life becomes meaningless.

The New World Order controls society with its mindless entertainment with everything from American Idol, to the Oscars, to the NFL, and the propaganda machines of the networks and in our public schools are working overtime in an attempt to get children to accept their place in the NWO with an accompanying loss of freedom in the name of serving the “greater good” of collectivism.

Our children and our veterans are telling us that they do not want to live in this world and neither should you. I am not endorsing suicidal behavior. However, It is only a matter of time until all of us feel the same pervasive sense of hopelessness. IF you do not care about living in the squalor, filth and moral decadence that is the NWO, then maybe the welfare of your children should jolt you into action.

Conclusion
The hopelessness spreading across the country and planet is approaching epidemic levels. But what would you expect when the Satanists, we call the NWO, are running the planet. The cesspool that is now defines our planet is the result of living in a world with largely no morals and no spirituality.

If you want to see things change, then change yourself by rediscovering your spirituality and living a moral life. For when we all do this, it will not make any sense for us to accept the immorality of those who would be our global masters.

Maybe if our teens saw us standing up to the immorality, they might see a ray of hope in their future. Maybe, if we demanded that our government reach out to our vets instead of incarcerating and drugging them for incorrect political views, maybe they would want to rejoin society upon completion of their service. Maybe if we collectively grew a backbone and took our world back from Satan, we could live out our lives in the manner that our creator intended.

Start now! Pick out one cause that you can get behind and put everything you have into that cause. Whether it is the End the Fed movement, or forcing term limits on Congress, it does not matter. Do something, do it with others so our numbers can grow, before it is too late.

Finally it needs to be said sorry, but religion is overused and under explained in these issues. You can have morals and do the right thing. Trying to push religion on people is not the way to go right now. Religion has been around for a long time and let’s be honest is often part of the problem. Right away when you start throwing that around you are putting yourself above others. You can pray all you want and God bless you for your prayers, but we also have to get off our knees and get busy. Do your preaching to those who want to hear. Religious people are not the only force for good in this world..
There are many truths being rejected and even by all religions. Let’s get the truth out about what is really going on in this world. One being that religion is being used and perverted to aid corruption. Yes even yours. Religion is divisive in politics and is often used as a tool for tyranny. This is not a theocracy and for good reason. I have to say I am a believer , but won’t claim a religion or take part in organized religion. I have seen more hatefulness and cruelty by “religious” people in the last several years than I can stomach and very little reasoning and action.Set an example with your actions before you preach. Please? Stop blaming this sin or that sinner. I see most blaming the average person with vices rather than holding the criminal cabal running this country responsible and it is not a partisan issue. Don’t be fooled.

No Soup for You America,Food as a WEAPON

No Soup for You America

“If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”
Thomas Jefferson

I grew up at a time in American history where school children were taught that people in the Soviet Union could not grow food without the express permission of the government, and we made fun of the Russians.

Now the United States is stating that its citizens may not grow food without the express permission of the government. The daily news media is replete with stories of government harassment against individuals attempting to grow their own food.

No Veggies for You

The USDA’s Rural Development Agency take pleasure in bullying the young and the handicapped as they are forbidding Rosie, a 4-year old girl, from South Dakota, from planting green vegetables in an unused area outside her subsidized housing unit.http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/4-year-old-girls-vegetable-garden-must-go-says-usda/

Rosie and her mom live on a fixed income disability payment of $628 per month. The garden vegetables growing just outside her backdoor was created to help provide a much needed boost to their food supply.

No Chickens for You
From Glendale, AZ., a posting on Phoenix’s permaculture message board revealed the following  development in which a man cannot raise chickens nor can this resident possess food-bearing plants. Welcome to Agenda 21.
http://www.phoenixpermaculture.org/forum/topic/listForContributor?user=0fr8bt2mki29m

“I just got notice that I must get rid of my 3 chickens, chicken coop and garden and remove unripe fruit from my orange tree since my lot is not zoned for agriculture.  Yes, I got notified that my garden and any food bearing plants are not allowed.  My orange tree can stay as long as I remove all the unripe fruit from it.  I must rip up my garden and my grapevines. I live near 63rd and Kings.

The lady at neighborhood services said none of the above is allowed.  I asked about the garden and grapevines and she said food bearing plants attract pests and rodents and are not allowed in residential areas of Glendale.  Orange trees are allowed as long as the fruit is not allowed to ripen.  All unripe fruit has to be removed and disposed of.  I was told I could join a community garden if I want to grow my own food.  I think Glendale is starting to get desperate for making money.  She said the fine if I do not comply will be over $2000 per violation with up to six months imprisonment and community service.”http://www.phoenixpermaculture.org/forum/topic/listForContributor?user=0fr8bt2mki29m

My question to the City of Glendale is “What difference does it make?”

No Fresh Goats Milk for You!

Don’t ever let the authorities know that you feed your baby healthy homemade baby formula instead of the establishment’s cancer-causing, GMO laced commercial formula.http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/state-threatens-to-take-baby-over-homemade-goat-milk-formula/

Alorah Gellerson of Brooklin, Maine is experiencing federal persecution because she was discovered feeding fresh goats milk to her three-month old son, Carson.

Gellerson complied with all government demands by no longer feeding her baby goats milk and substituting GMO laced milk. However, the authorities are still threatening to remove her son.

No Food for You America!

The lessons of history clearly demonstrate that dictatorial regimes will not hesitate to use food as a weapon against their own people in order to solidify power and impose absolute autocratic control. Food can be withheld from the masses by preventing it from being grown and harvested, by contaminating it and rendering it unfit for human consumption or by simply preventing food from being distributed to a targeted population.http://www.answers.com/topic/contaminate

The two most notable examples of dictators using food a weapon in order to destroy the free will of their people comes from the regime of Stalin.

Josef Stalin engaged in his own Soviet style Holocaust when, in 1932 and 1933, and estimated six to 20 million people in the Ukraine died from starvation when Stalin implemented his prescription of “hope and change” policies in order to eliminate the Ukrainian’s desire for becoming their own nation-state.

Upon assuming power, the Stalinist Communist regime rapidly nationalized the food industry and forced all of the region’s farms into collectives. Thus, Stalin’s version of the Holocaust came to fruition in what history has dubbed, the “Holdomor,” in which millions perished in only a two year period when the Soviet government began to exterminate the Ukrainian population by taking control of food and food production.

Third world population control, using food as one of the primary weapons,http://www.rense.com/general59/kissingereugenics.htm has long been a matter of official covert national policy and a portion of President Obama’s Executive Order (EO 13603), National Defense Resources Preparedness is a continuation of that policy. Only now, the intended targets are not the countries of the third world, but instead, the target is you and me.http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/03/16/executive-order-national-defense-resources-preparedness

With the stroke of his pen, Obama has total and absolute control over all food where his EO states:

e)  “Food resources” means all commodities and products, (simple, mixed, or compound), or complements to such commodities or products, that are capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals, irrespective of other uses to which such commodities or products may be put, at all stages of processing from the raw commodity to the products thereof in vendible form for human or animal consumption.  “Food resources” also means potable water packaged in commercially marketable containers, all starches, sugars, vegetable and animal or marine fats and oils, seed, cotton, hemp, and flax fiber, but does not mean any such material after it loses its identity as an agricultural commodity or agricultural product.

(f)  “Food resource facilities” means plants, machinery, vehicles (including on farm), and other facilities required for the production, processing, distribution, and storage (including cold storage) of food resources, and for the domestic distribution of farm equipment and fertilizer…”

This unconstitutional EO is particularly disturbing in that it clearly states that the government has control over anything that is “capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals…”  If you thought that you and Fido were going to get through the coming food crisis by storing and consuming dog food, think again.

How will farmers maintain the nation’s food supply when all fertilizer, their farm equipment and all of their vehicles are under the control of this sociopathic President or the next power-hungry President?

The term “all food storage facilities” includes your refrigerator, your pantry and even the very food in your cabinets as well as what is on your kitchen table. In short, anywhere you keep food is now under the control of the government and can be redistributed.

Conclusion

The government is getting us right where they want us in which they will control all food and as a result, they will completely control us. And it is coming none to soon for them as we prepare to invade Syria and then
Iran. Marital law will surely follow, and food control will be the primary weapon used against Americans. .

Look Who Funded and Developed Common Core

Look Who Funded and Developed Common Core

After reading this article, the reader will become aware that Common Core is a simply a regurgitation of Bloom’s Taxonomy combined with some very clever propaganda interwoven into the fabric of every course which embraces social justice, collectivism the eventual deindustrialization of America through the acceptance of climate change theories and the resulting carbon taxes and cap and trade policies which will follow.

No teacher and no school board member was asked to contribute to the Common Core standards. Nor was any State Legislature involved in the creation of this monstrosity.

Under this plan, every teacher will teach the same material with much of the same teaching strategies as every other teacher. This is the 21st Century educational version of the Stepford Wives. The Tenth Amendment is dead and individual freedom is being stamped out.

Common Core Plagiarizes Bloom’s Taxonomy
Common core espouses the laudable goal of making children think critically. In every piece I have read where the establishment defends Common Core, the company line states that it is important to move children away from memorization learning to analyzing and creating. I wholeheartedly agree with this goal. However, we do not have to spend billions of dollars to achieve this end.

In 1948, psychologist Benjamin Bloom and associates, developed the six levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy. Under the taxonomy, learning progressed from memorization to analyzing and creating. If that sounds familiar, Common Core has copied Blooms taxonomy almost verbatim. Sure they changed nouns to verbs and verbs to nouns, but the progression of learning is almost identical. And this is what is being touted as the great revolution in teaching and learning. After comparing Blooms Taxonomy to Common Core, can there be any doubt that of the lack of authenticity of Common Core?

Why would the creators of Common Core go backwards and regurgitate Bloom’s Taxonomy? First, the taxonomy is respected and gave America some of her best days in public education. Bloom’s taxonomy was successful because of the fact that the government did not get to control the content or the application. Secondly, if a respected learning progression will be universally accepted, then the substance behind the theoretical approach can be slipped in, and the propagandizing of the young can begin. Yes, I am talking about a system of education where propaganda is a thinly disguised goal. Nobody is going to challenge the notion that we should get children to think more critically. And what if the creators of Common Core can mandate specific topical material to be taught within the Common Core, an entire generation of young learners can be molded to the desired point of view. Before you tell me to remove my tin foil hat, please examine the evidence listed below and then honestly tell me that there is not a cause for concern.

First, let’s take a look at the history of failed federal educational programs.

One Failed Federal Education Program After Another
To understand where we are going, we have to first understand where we have been. Teachers have endured such educational faux pas from Goals 2000, to School to Work, to No Child Left Behind and now we are witnessing the latest in fad in American education, the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/sat-reading-scores-hit-a-four-decade-low/2012/09/24/7ec9cb1e-0643-11e2-afff-d6c7f20a83bf_story.html

Each one of the aforementioned programs threw billions of taxpayer dollars down the toilet, while contributing to the dramatic decrease in student performance.  For example, SAT Reading scores, for the high school class of 2012, reached a 40+ year low since the implementation of No Child Left Behind. (NCLB).

The successor of NCLB, Common Core, is based upon social justice, arriving at knowledge and subsequent decision making through a spirit of collectivism and developing a communal agreement about the need to teach and to integrate into each classroom an underlying theme of sustainable development. These goals are not just going to be taught in specific Environmental Science courses, but these philosophies are to be implemented and taught in EACH and EVERY course that a child takes during their educational experiences beginning with pre-K and stretching to post graduate secondary education.

Bill Gates the driving force behind Common Core

Globalist and Eugenics proponent, Bill Gates, is one of the Founding Fathers of the Common Core movement and its copyright holders, NGA/CCSSO. Gates donated about $25 million dollars to promote his version of global education.  Gates has made several donations to CCSSO to promote Common Core. In 2009,http://www.gatesfoundation.org/Grants-2009/Pages/Council-of-Chief-State-School-Officers-OPP50935.aspx
Gates made two separate donations of $9,961,842 and $3,185,750. In 2010,http://www.gatesfoundation.org/Grants-2011/Pages/Council-of-Chief-State-School-Officers-OPP1035090.aspx
Gates donated $743,331 and in 2011,http://www.gatesfoundation.org/Grants-2011/Pages/Council-of-Chief-State-School-Officers-OPP1035090.aspx he contributed $9,388,911. In 2008,http://www.gatesfoundation.org/Grants-2008/Pages/National-Governors-Association-Center-for-Best-Practices-OPP50433.aspx
Gates donated $2,259,780 to the National Governor’s Association (NGA) to develop and implement Common Core. The NGA is the conduit into America from the United Nations UNESCO, Education for All Agenda 21 version of globalist education being forced down the throats of our young people.http://www.keepeducationlocal.com/

Gates is listed as partner with UNESCO/UN to fund ”Education For All,” which in turn was transferred to the National Governors Association which changed the name to Common Core. In a key document, The Dakar Framework for Action: Education For All: Meeting Our Collective Commitments’ which identifies the goals for what became Common Core. The document speaks directly to the Agenda 21 educational ideals of collectivism, social justice, environmental justice and the espousing of the beliefs of the pseudoscience known as sustainable development.http://bettereducationforall.org/

http://bettereducationforall.org/

Common Core Serves the Edicts of Agenda 21

Agenda-21-Is-EvilChapter 36 of Agenda 21 Public Awareness and Training focuses on impressing upon every citizen on the planet, the indispensable need for achieving sustainable development. In plain language, Common Core is going into every country. The implementation names of this global education may vary, but the underlying Agenda 21 philosophies do not. Chapter 36 also states that the globalists plan to “reorient” worldwide education toward sustainable development. In future installments in this series, the weak academic standards of Common Core will be revealed. Reform of the nation’s standardized objectives is merely a smoke screen to the true intent of the program which is to covertly gain acceptance for Agenda 21 policies. Subsequently, the Agenda 21/UNESCO documents clearly state their intention to turn each student into a globalist who will accept smaller living space, residing in the stack and pack cities of the future, acceptance of drastic energy reduction and the loss of Constitutional liberties. The document goes on to say that “While basic education provides the underpinning for any environmental and development education, the latter needs to be incorporated as an essential part of learning. Both formal and non-formal education are indispensable to changing people’s attitudes so that they have the capacity to assess and address their sustainable development concerns…”

Educational Russian Roulette
The Common Core is an untested, federally promoted, unfunded experiment. The standards creators (NGA/CCSSO) have not set up a monitoring plan to test this national experiment, to see what, if any, unintended consequences the Common Core will have on our children. This is a game Russian Roulette being played on the socio-emotional, intellectual and spiritual aspects of our children’s development.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. If we let the teaching of the controversial topic of sustainability in each and every course, our children will not be given the chance to debate the merits of climate change theories. This will lead to the unquestioned ushering in of carbon taxes and cap and trade policies. This will spell economic doom for this country as know it today through the biggest wealth transfer in American history through cap and trade which will severely curtail individual and small business energy usage. Yet, the rich will be able to afford to buy their way out of restrictions by paying the penalties that the average person cannot afford. Ultimately, this will lead to neo-feudalism. If you doubt the veracity of these comments, let’s give President Obama the floor and let him tell you in his own words.

Are we really naive enough to believe that Obama is just making up this nonsense about implementing cap and trade and causing our utility prices to skyrocket and significantly lowering the standard of living for the middle class?

We can teach our kids to think critically without this program, we could just return to Bloom’s Taxonomy because it works. However, this would not offer the pretext for the Bill Gates’ of the world to shove their climate change agenda down the throats of our children and get them to acquiesce to what is coming.

In another 10 years, this federal program will implode like all the other federal education programs, but the damage will have been done. How many more decades can America endure a drop of reading comprehension scores by another 40+ points until we are as functionally illiterate as most third world countries? And more importantly, how far will that American standard of living be decreased during this time as we produce a generation of children who will mindlessly accept the resources scraps of this planet as they attempt to survive in a completely changed world?

Solutions

Is it time to home school? It is certainly understandable if many choose this option. For most, the time for mass home schooling has not yet arrived, but we need to demand accountability and demand it now. Teachers and administrators need to be involved in revamping of this program. For example, when dealing with controversial topics like climate change, both sides of the issue need to be fairly presented. We need to halt the funding of Common Core immediately and embrace what it is based upon, Bloom’s Taxonomy. We need to embrace what we know works, not the anecdotal accounts of Common Core supporters who stand
to make billions of dollars through the implementation of this program. We also need to return education to the local level and empower local school boards to make education decisions on curriculum as they once did. Then and only then, can we shape a future for our children that we can trust.

Disarm Or Get Out

Disarm Or Get Out

This is a story that is going to boil your blood. This is the story of a corporate entity that is abusing its power and threatening to make homeless a 77 year-old veteran. This story also illustrates the undeniable fact that if and when the establishment makes a move on our guns, it will be the veterans that will defend America.

At the end of the day, in this battle between David and Goliath, the good guys finally won a small battle against the anti-Second Amendment forces in Colorado. Yet, there are establishment minions, seemingly in every walk of life, prepared to help this president strip all of us our constitutional rights when he cannot coerce Congress to do so.

Backdoor Methods to Disarm America
This present administration is hell bent on getting us to give up the only protection that we enjoy against a tyrannical government, namely, our guns.

If the liberal establishment is not successful in getting us to give up our guns directly, the next strategy is to administratively create gun free zones which dictate where you may possess a gun including in your home. Unfortunately for liberty loving Americans, the Obama forces have allies consisting of millions of mindless sheep who inhabit this country and are willing to create no gun zones, on their own volition, in complete violation of the U.S. Constitution.

On August 1, 2013, The Oakwood Apartments Castle Rock, Colorado, run by Ross Management Company, sent out a notice to all residents saying they will be enacting a new policy that would ban residents from owning and storing a firearm in their own apartments. The new policy was set to take effect on October 1, 2013.http://offgridsurvival.com/apartmentcomplex-removeguns/

The owner of Ross Management Company is Debi Ross. Ross and her husband have given $9,000, only to Democrats, since 2006. The connection between Ross’ political allegiances and her company’s infringement on the constitutional rights of their residents should be apparent to all.

Not Everyone Is a Liberal Democrat
Word of the Ross gun ban emotionally impacted 77-year-old retired Marine Corps veteran, Art Dorsch. Dorsch, who lives on a fixed income in which he can barely pay his bills, was told by management that he had three options: (1) Get rid of his guns and keep his apartment; (2) Keep his guns and voluntarily leave; and, (3) Keep his guns and be forcibly evicted by the Douglas County Sheriff. Interestingly, Dorsch’s lease agreement was in effect and the existing contract stated nothing about a gun prohibition. But since when do liberals care about the law?

Dorsch lives on a fixed income and barely makes ends meet. He was faced with a difficult choice, give up his guns and hunting, the love of his life, or try and find a place to live that he could both afford and would let him keep his guns.

                                                   Marines Know How to Improvise
                                                           Art Dorsch, Retired Marine

Mr. Dorsch learned a thing or two while in the Marine Corps regarding improvisation and he contacted 9Wants to Know on August 7th and asked for help. 9Wants to Know investigated the unconstitutional actions of Debi Ross’ management company and found substance to Mr. Dorsch’s claims. 9Wants to Know promptly contacted the Denver Housing Authority, and they held an emergency meeting and squashed the actions of Ross’ company and offered a serious rebuke.http://www.9news.com/news/article/348974/339/Apartment-tenants-told-they-must-get-rid-of-guns

The good guys won, right? Yes, in this battle, the good guys won. However, we are still witnessing liberals all across this country trying to impose their liberal will on the rest of us, whether it is the tyranny of an HOA or forcing school children to pray to Obama.

The assault against our liberties has left the halls of Congress, and freedom-loving Americans are involved in a street fight in order to preserve what is left of the Constitution. Are we strong or weak? Are we Americans or are we sheep?

Seeking Information from the Violators of the Second Amendment
When 9Wants to Know reporter (Channel 9, Denver), Will Ripley, went to the office of the Ross Management Team, they rudely shut the door in his face.

Subsequently, I thought I would take up where Ripley left off and contact Ross Management and seek to understand the motivation for their unconstitutional actions.

I called Ross Management Company and identified myself as the host of the nationally syndicated Common Sense Show. I explained that I only had one side of the story, from Channel 9, of 9Wants to Know, and that I wanted to hear their side of their attempted gun ban and what had motivated their action. The receptionist promptly hung up on me.

Subsequently, I called the Oakwood Apartments, where Mr. Dorsch resided, and spoke with a surly young lady who only identified herself as “Betsy.” I asked “Betsy” if I rented an apartment from her, could I bring my gun with me? She became extremely rude and defensive and curtly referred me to a 9Wants to Know (Channel 9, Denver) KUSA website. I asked her why I had to go to a television station’s website in order to determine if I would be eligible to rent an apartment from her and she immediately hung up on me.

Is This Just An Isolated Incident of Abuse of Power?
How many Ross Management Company type of constitutional usurping organizations are actually out there violating the constitutional rights of their tenants?  How many owners of businesses are attempting to rewrite the Constitutional while serving the globalist agenda of disarming Americans in their own way?

The time is now to send a message to those who would abuse their authority, violate the Constitution and even abuse veteran heroes such as Art Dorsch. We need to take this battle to the street. We must meet force with force. We need to let the Ross Property Management Company’s of America know that we will vigorously oppose these types of heinous actions.

I would respectfully suggest that all people who feel that Ross Management Company is infringing upon citizens Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms, contact them and let this organization knows how you feel about their efforts towards rewriting the Second Amendment.

It is also great to see a mainstream media outlet conduct itself with integrity and stand up for the little guy even when the contemporary liberal agenda seeks to confiscate our guns. My deep appreciation goes out the good folks at KUSA in Denver, Colorado, for overturning this injustice.

And of course, a big salute goes out to retired marine, Art Dorsch.

Art may be a retired veteran, but he is still proudly serving his country. God bless you Art and may you enjoy many more great hunting seasons.

Political gamesmanship is not the same as leadership.

Political gamesmanship is not the same as leadership.

Obama’s problem:
He doesn’t need to be a dictator, he needs to be a leader (and he’s not)

Of all the things Barack Obama says, the most pathetic may be when he pleads with everyone to understand that he is “not a dictator.” He says this not for the purpose of exalting the separation of powers inherent in our system. No, he says it as an excuse for not accomplishing things.

Why hasn’t he gotten the deficit under control? Why aren’t we seeing real economic growth? Why is unemployment still way above 7 percent? Why do we lurch from one fiscal showdown to the next?

Because Obama is not a dictator, you see. He can’t make those horrible Republicans do what he wants them to do, so Congress and the president can never make a meaningful deal on anything.

I say this is the most pathetic because Obama’s problem is not that he isn’t a dictator. It’s that he’s not a leader. The 43 presidents who preceded him were not dictators either, and under them we did not see constant fiscal crises, trillion-dollar deficits and a complete breakdown of the working relationship between Congress and the White House.

There were certainly political battles, and I’m not saying by any means that the things that got done were always great things. But we have never seen anything like the constant drama and confrontation we’re seeing now.

Let me explain the difference between leadership and what Obama does, because to him it might seem like he’s leading. After all, the polls continually show that the public takes his side in the showdowns with Republicans. Doesn’t the mean he’s leading? Doesn’t that mean he’s selling his ideas to the public and the Republicans are just being obstinate in their refusal to go along?

No. That’s not leadership. That’s political gamesmanship. Obama is very good at that. Political gamesmanship means that on any given day, you can convince a fed-up citizenry to be madder at the other guy than they are at you. Or you can impress the media with the notion that you’re outmaneuvering the other guy politically, such that they praise you for your shrewdness and the public reads headlines of another “win for Obama.”

Political gamesmanship keeps your poll numbers looking good, but it’s not leadership. Leadership is when you honestly put forward your vision for the nation, and the public is so sold on your vision that they not only support it but demand that their representatives in Congress do the same.

The public is not demanding that Congress support Obama’s vision. Most of them don’t even know what it really is because he doesn’t tell them. For example, people hear Obama say we need a “balanced approach” to reducing the deficit that combines “revenues” (tax increases) and spending cuts. That sounds good, but what Republicans in Congress know is that Obama a) has no intention of seriously cutting spending; and b) has never proposed a tax increase that makes even the tiniest dent in the massive deficit.

That’s why it’s not leadership. If Obama had a plan that would really balance the budget by cutting spending and raising taxes, and the public was behind the plan, Republicans might not like it but they might feel compelled to support it anyway lest they feel the public’s wrath. But since they know Obama has no such plan, and has misled the public through political gamesmanship, they recognize it is merely a political trap for them to support his agenda.

So he’s left to whine about not being a dictator. Dictators need their absolute power because they can’t honestly sell the people on what they want to do. Obama tries his best to baffle them with Bolshevik, and the media try their best to give him cover when he does so. But leaders solve problems, and the truth is that Obama has no solutions to the nation’s biggest problems.

What he thinks is the fault of his lack of dictatorial power is actually caused by this: He is not very good at the job of being president of the United States.

Crimes Against Humanity Committed On American Soil

Crimes Against Humanity Committed On American Soil

Just substitute Christians for Native Americans and you’ll get the idea of what lies ahead.

Ward Churchill writes that on June 20, 1837, the U.S. Army began to dispense diseased “trade blankets” to the Mandan Indians (one of the tribes which aided the Lewis and Clark Expedition). The blankets were presented to the Mandans at Fort Clark in present-day North Dakota. Churchill states that the blankets had been taken from a army infirmary in St. Louis which had been previously quarantined for smallpox. and the Mandans became symptomatic on July 14 leading a local medical official to advise the Indians to scatter and seek refuge in the villages in nearby villages, thus, the pandemic commenced as it was spread far and wide. This was a clear cut case of biological warfare committed against a civilian population.http://zeroanthropology.net/2009/04/17/on-colonialism-as-genocide-ward-churchill-speaks-at-concordia-university-montreal/

President Andrew Jackson was instrumental in the events leading up to what historians call the Trail of Tears. President Jackson’s policies toward Native Americans involved the ethnic cleansing of several Indian tribes. This is not unlike what Obama and his DHS and military minions are in the early stages of doing to Christians. Genocide happened to the Cherokee and it is beginning to happen the followers of Jesus.

Trail of Tears

Under President Andrew Jackson, 17,000 Cherokees were forced off their land in 1838 and had to undertake the long journey across the Trail of Tears. Historical parallels conjure up images of the Death March to Bataan and the Nazi persecution of Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto. Make no mistake about it, this was an ethnic cleansing inspired genocide carried out with forethought and malice in what became one of the darkest chapters in American History as 4,000 Cherokees died on the Trail of Tears from malnutrition, exposure, and disease.

Some of the darkest days in history took place under Hitler’s Final Solution. Interestingly, Hitler actually got the idea for his concentration camps from the “Final Solution” treatment of Native Americans.

And let’s not forget the biggest genocide in the history of the planet, namely, abortion, and this heinous persecution of God’s most precious creatures has taken place right here on American soil. Some abortions are medically necessary. The vast majority are not. Tragically, adoption centers have waiting lists of loving parents ready to open their homes and their hearts. Through Planned Parenthood, we have institutionalized genocide against the helpless.

We presently live under a despotic President who is forcing Catholics to fund abortions against their religious doctrine. This is evil personified. Since abortion became “legal” in the early 1970′s, 53 million innocent human beings have been the victims of this horrific genocide and now it is official governmental policy. And please spare me the political correctness arguments. To hell with political correctness, we are talking about mass murder, make no mistake about it.

Someone needs to speak for those who cannot. And there are still people who do not think genocide can happen here despite the fact that six of the eight Stanton stages of national genocide have been fulfilled in modern day America and we are in the midst of an ongoing holocaust which surpasses Hitler and Stalin.

I have news for my historically ignorant friends, there have been genocides in America, there is presently a genocide in America and the big genocide is right around the corner.
Stage Eight: Denial

He Had the Guts to Say No to Hitler.
Do You Know Anyone Who Will Say No to Obama?

This leaves us with the final stage in the Stanton genocidal hypothesis, Denial. Stanton states that leaders will attempt to hide the genocide from world. However, this stage could be a moot point for this present administration, because if the globalists achieve the complete takeover of the world’s economy and subsequently their governments, there will be nobody left to conceal the truth from.

Why do so many people still revere Andrew Jackson? Simple, those who win the battles, end up writing the history books. Or, do we not care because the Jackson’s victims are only Indians? If that is the case, then we will surely manifest our own negative future through Karma or whatever religious term you choose to affix to this coming calamity.  Regardless, if we allow the banksters who have hijacked our government to continue with their psychopathic policies, they too will write the next chapter of history and Ron Paul supporters, Christians, Second Amendment supporters, Constitutionalists and Libertarians will be the next generation of Native American genocidal victims.

Through the NDAA and the National Resources Defense Preparedness Executive Order (13603), Obama has already built in escape clauses into his heinous preparations on the road to the enslavement of the American people and ultimately to genocide. By some twisted logic, he has granted himself the authority to commit secret arrests and murder whether it be carried out by drones, robots or DHS jack-booted thugs backed up by their 2.2 rounds of newly acquired ammunition. Thanks to a series of Obama Executive Orders and the NDAA, enslavement culminating with genocide will soon be official national policy.

Obama final solution If we ever allow Obamacare to become fully implemented on January 1, 2014, with all of its euthanasia policies, we will never recover as a nation. Make no mistake about it, Obamacare is not about healthcare, it is about enslavement and the full implementation of systematic genocide.

Benghazi stand-down

Obama and his fellow band of communists deserve the same fate that they visited upon Chris Stephens. This event could have been our line in the sand and could have toppled this criminal administration. The push back against pending genocide could have been achieved. America, we missed a golden opportunity.

We Are Out of Time and Out of Options
At this point, all options should be on the table. We have been conquered by the mega-bankers. We are being ruled by sociopaths who do not play by any set of rules. The Benghazi murders gave me temporary hope because it was clear that there were some senior level military command officers willing to take on the President and his illegal policies. I am still hopeful that the military will rise up and take back our country against this illegitimate government because I am quite sure that the sheep that now inhabit this nation do not possess the intestinal fortitude to do it themselves. Stuart Rhodes may indeed become the most pivotal figure in our immediate future American troops protect us.http://oathkeepers.org/oath/

America, we have a little over seven months to reverse the suicidal direction our nation has undertaken, for if we do not, we will witness humanities darkest days within our national borders.

 God Help us!

America’s Real Crisis: The Question of Who, or What—is our Authority

Marx or Moses, The Time to Decide is Now

America’s Real Crisis: The Question of Who, or What—is our Authority

Underneath the maelstrom of America’s political crisis is a question that demands an answer. The question: What is America’s ultimate source of authority? Have we finally begun to evolve into humanism, as leftists claim—after centuries of ignorant, bigoted and sexist Bible fixation?

Or, can our historical beliefs be preserved in the face of a godless onslaught? Must the US now walk into an atheist worldview, complete with matching societal and political implications? The identity of American authority is the question of the age. And our answer will certainly decide the fate of America.

The battle between belief systems is as old as Israel battling the Philistines, and as recent as the West versus militant Islam. In fact, every true battle may have a spiritual core. This is in fact what Lord Horatio Nelson believed when he took on Napoleon’s plan for world domination, which would have created godless global tyranny, had Bonaparte succeeded.

It is fortunate the absurd poseur Barack overplayed his hand on the horribly malformed Affordable Healthcare Act. Watching Obamacare unveiled, finding each function ill-designed, broken or non-existent—we have a miracle of incompetence. And yet, seen historically, failure and incompetence are not the exception, but the rule in Marxist kingdoms. The spectacular failures of Lenin, Stalin and Mao instruct us the methods and goals of this ideology are not just mistaken, but impossible, and dangerous to the nth degree. Let us hope America fights off the toxic fumes of socialism and returns to our First Love before it’s too late.

I. Failure of American Authority: Biblical or Humanistic?

America is presently confused as to the definition of truth, or its source. This is obvious at the increasing popularity of gay marriage by supposed Christians, as well as support for the forceful confiscation and redistribution of property by presumed Constitution advocates. Yet, America was once a biblical culture, and probably expressed its biblical beliefs as well as any in history. For example, the liberties promised by Jesus in the Bible… “Then you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free” (John 8:32)http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8%3A32 were expressed and defended in the Constitution. The crowning achievement of the Founders was the First Amendment’s tripartite defense of Speech, Religion and the Press.

Scholar Donald Lutz, in The Origins of American Constitutionalism, noted the Constitution itself was based upon the covenant-styled colonial documents employed by colonists arriving on these shores. Colonial America was a biblically based society, defined by Calvinist principles, according to David. A. Weir, in Early New England, A Covenanted Society. Weir stated he “systematically examined the formation of every civil and religious institution founded in New England before 1708.” Add to this fact that the defense of Free Speech and the logically related Free Press was initially offered by such stalwart Puritans as John Milton. He articulated that Free Speech was less dangerous than suppression of potential truth in his groundbreaking Areopagatica, where he passionately wrote:http://www.stlawrenceinstitute.org/vol14mit.html

Why freedom is necessary

Where there is much desire to learn, there of necessity will be much arguing, much writing, many opinions; for opinion in good men is but knowledge in the making. Under these fantastic terrors of sect and schism, we wrong the earnest and zealous thirst after knowledge and understanding which God hath stirred up in this city. What some lament of, we rather should rejoice at, should rather praise this pious forwardness among men, to reassume the illdeputed care of their religion into their own hands again. A little generous prudence, a little forbearance of one another, and some grain of charity might win all these diligences to join and unite in one general and brotherly search after truth, could we but forego this prelatical tradition of crowding free consciences and Christian liberties into canons and precepts of men.

Regarding Freedom of Religion,
it was John Locke who helped augur in liberty, when he wrote A Letter on Toleration.http://www.constitution.org/jl/tolerati.htm Locke, arguably the most influential philosopher of the modern age, was also perhaps the most influential thinker for the Founders. For example, Thomas Jefferson liberally quoted Locke in his masterwork, the Declaration of Independence. Locke writes,

For, there being but one truth, one way to heaven; what hopes is there that more men would be led into it, if they had no other rule to follow but the religion of the court, and were put under a necessity to quit the light of their own reason, to oppose the dictates of their own consciences, and blindly to resign up themselves to the will of their governors, and to the religion which either ignorance, ambition, or superstition had chanced to establish in the countries where they were born? ...Truth seldom has received, and I fear never will receive, much assistance from the power of great men, to whom she is but rarely known, and more rarely welcome. She is not taught by laws, nor has she any need of force to procure her entrance into the minds of men. Errours indeed prevail by the assistance of foreign and borrowed succours. But if truth makes not her way into the understanding by her own light, she will be but the weaker for any borrowed force violence can add to her.

It is ironic that Marx’s Communist Manifesto is now plying for the American soul, as we once almost exclusively self-identified in Biblical terms; the Bible being America’s DNA. According to Sacvan Bercovitch, in his The Puritan Origins of the American Self, Puritanism is at the heart of our identity. The exemplar American was early set out as John Winthrop, governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. America is the “city on the hill,” and the Puritans “conceived of the American paradise as the fulfillment of scripture prophecy.” Preeminent early American minister Cotton Mather wrote his Magnalia Christi Americana (1702),http://nationalhumanitiescenter.org/pds/amerbegin/permanence/text3/MatherNewEngland.pdf proclaiming: “I WRITE the Wonders of the CHRISTIAN RELIGION, flying from the Deprivation of Europe, to the American Strand.” Bercovitch cites Cotton Mather’s biography of Winthrop, “Nehemias Americanus.” Here is the opening section of Mather’s work:http://xroads.virginia.edu/~drbr/cotton1.html

Nehemias Americanus

THE LIFE OF JOHN WINTHROP, ESQ., GOVERNOR OF THE MASSACHUSETTS COLONY.

Quicungue venti erunt, Ars nostra certe non aberit. -Cicero.

1. LET Greece boast of her patient Lycurgus, the lawgiver, by whom diligence, temperance, fortitude and wit were made the fashions of a therefore long-lasting and renowned commonwealth: let Rome tell of her devout Numa, the lawgiver, by whom the most famous commonwealth saw peace triumphing over extinguished war and cruel plunders; and murders giving place to the more mollifying exercises of his religion. Our New-England shall tell and boast of her WINTHROP, a lawgiver as patient as Lycurgus, but not admitting any of his criminal disorders; as devout as Numa, but not liable to any of his heathenish madnesses; a governor in whom the excellencies of Christianity made a most improving addition unto the virtues, wherein even without those he would have made a parallel for the great men of Greece, or of Rome, which the pen of a Plutarch has eternize.

II. The Authority of Karl Marx

It is almost incredible to report Karl Marx’s liberal ideas are making inroads in the greatest capitalist country. Even more stunning is America’s leader appears enchanted with socialist policy, such as nationalizing industries, increasing taxation, expanding government authority, and wildly enlarging spending, via printing of currency and international loans. In fact, one magazine reports, Ex-Marxist Calls out Obama as ‘Communist.http://www.wnd.com/2013/11/is-obama-leading-america-into-communism/’ And Forbes magazine published: President Obama’s Marxist-Leninist Economics: Fact And Fiction, stating,http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhendrickson/2012/07/26/president-obamas-marxist-leninist-economics-fact-and-fiction/

President Obama has emulated Lenin in striving to increase state control over such “commanding heights” of our economy as energy, health care, finance, and education, with smaller forays into food, transportation and undoubtedly others. Besides mimicking some of Lenin’s policy strategies, Obama also has adopted Karl Marx’s strategies for gradually socializing an economy.

Obama seems to always advocate for the ideas of Karl Marx

Clearly Barack is no classic American president, one who generally favors small government, or a robustly growing economy. Instead, from his seeming reluctance to praise America overseas, or his apparent identification and defense of Islam, or his work redistributing wealth, Obama seems to always advocate for the ideas of Karl Marx.

From where comes the remarkable claim that Karl Marx should have authority over mankind, America, our economics, politics, government—and even religion? Atheists, agnostic and all progressives find him irresistible as his system is not just irreligious, by virulently anti-God. Marx wrote, “Religion is only the illusory sun around which man revolves, until he begins to revolve around himself.” After this, human society was just the realm where influential men put their imprint by virtue of their will.

Marx, like many socialist and communist revolutionaries, was fascinated by Satan. He was obsessed with violence and apocalyptic punishments visited upon mankind. In one poem, Marx casts himself as God, and says “I shall howl gigantic curses at mankind.”

Paul Johnson, in Intellectuals, describes Marx as a kind of anti-religious rabbi. Marx was also a disagreeable fellow, a natural rebel, a revolutionary and a brawler, and created much hardship for his family being banned and ejected from many places. Not talented enough to get a university position, Marx became a journalist, before being kicked out of Germany, then France before settling in London.

The anti-Semitic Marx, who spoke disparagingly of both Blacks and Jews, wrote he felt the world was bastardized by Jewish greed, who infected the globe with the love of money—their god. Ironically, despite his diatribes against rich Jews, Marx himself was Jewish on both sides, and perpetually broke. He described capitalism as “hucksterism.” In On the Jewish Question he wrote,http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1844/jewish-question/

Money is the jealous god of Israel, beside which no other god may exist. Money abases all the gods of mankind and changes them into commodities. Money is the self-sufficient value of all things. It has, therefore, deprived the whole world, both the human world and Nature, of their own proper value. Money is the alienated essence of man’s work and existence: this essence dominates him and he worships it. The god of the Jews has been secularized and has become the god of the world.

Sadly, the impact of Marx’s ideas on every front has been unmitigated disaster. Western youths and credulous souls are permanently despoiled of the ability to think critically by downloading Marxism into their DNA. This explains why so many smug journalists, doctrinaire academics, hectoring politicians, and angry entertainers voice the simplistic doctrines of Marxism, like so many mindless lambs, running their legs while bleating in their sleep.

The effect on societies by Marxism has been nothing short of catastrophic
. Between ruined economies, and hassled residents never given the chance to experience God-given freedoms, are the extraordinary statistics of murder by government. According to U of Hawaii’s Prof Rummel, between communist Russia and China, 138,000,000 innocent persons were murdered.http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/20TH.HTM

But, setting aside Marxism’s uncanny penchant for mayhem—Why would any sane, rational or thinking person want to repeat the failed experiments of the 19th century? While all socialist countries exist in a death-spiral, where GDP growth does not match spending, some claim a nothern exception. But the Brussels Journal trashes this notion, in The Myth of the Scandinavian Model. F. A. Hayek’s The Fatal Conceit:http://www.brusselsjournal.com/node/510 The Errors of Socialism, explains why even the ideas behind socialism are illogical and immoral, “...The dispute between the market order and socialism is no less than a matter of survival. To follow socialist morality would destroy much of present humankind and impoverish much of the rest.” Therefore, this style of economics cannot work in the real world. An illustration of another Scandinavian socialist model: Norway’s shame: How a nation squandered its oil riches.http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/dec/25/vitenberg-norways-mythical-oil-wealth/

But we must ask, once again—where does the bizarre and highly destructive theory that Marx has any authority, come from? Only the intellectually lazy and morally indifferent could give credence to such a shallow and counterintuitive ideology. We must set aside Marxism after noting that, in every important way, Marxism represents the failure and dull cupidity of the antiauthoritarian—the rebel against God’s order.

III. Re-Establishment of Order

If America is to continue on as a place of enlightenment, both in liberty and the defense of others, we must re-order our commitment to authority. So we must ask, is today’s trendy Marxism a fit authoritarian model? All signs say no. Marx himself was anti-authoritarian. His ideas created chaos, destruction and overall misery. But can America’s traditional sense of authority, once based upon the Bible, really be accepted back as the primary locus of law and morality?

Former Marxist, Prof. Alasdair MacIntyre claims, having examined the world’s belief systems, that the biblical tradition represents the best life for all persons, as expressed in virtue oriented communities. This is the history of the West, which created the most prosperous, artistically expressive, free and influential cultures. Yet, today this legacy of success suddenly looks very frail indeed in contrast with the dishonest, inefficient, illogical and murderous record of all socialist movements.

Mad philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche caused crisis by noting since there were many rival theories on truth, the group with the strongest will was justified in ruling. This was his Will to Power. This is what America has become, a land where people strive to assert their power, oblivious to whether their actions are right, their ideas good, or the effects injurious to others. Not caring whether America falls, such is their greed, arrogance, and hatred of the good. These are the followers of Marx.https://archive.org/details/TheWillToPower-Nietzsche

Instead, we must demand a return to the principles and actions of our enlightened forebears. It was these that created America the Great, and it is these, plus the favor of the Almighty, which will help return the US to a healthy, free and prosperous state.
