Who’s responsible for the assassinations of two New York police officers? The Big 4 who cried “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war on police after the Michael Brown and Eric Garner deaths. Obama. Holder. Sharpton. De Blasio.
We always knew we’d get to this place. If we didn’t know it at first, we knew when Al Sharpton became Obama’s advisor on race relations and a familiar at the White House. This is liberalism in practice. This is community organizing in practice. Rub raw grievances, in the words of Saul Alinsky.
And lie. Lies are the currency, the vocabulary of liberalism. Liberalism cannot live on the truth because the truth is conservative. Here there were lies about the altercation between Michael Brown and Darren Wilson. And the president pouring gasoline on the fire by saying that he understood how people could be upset.
The two chief law enforcement officers in the country – Obama and Holder – publicly implied that the Grand Jury process was illegitimate. That is, a process designed to keep citizens from being railroaded by public clamor, by incitement. To keep citizens from being prosecuted by those in high office, those in authority.
Liberalism hates America because America is successful without a liberal class to direct it. Liberals are desperately trying to create a ruling class of bureaucrats insulated from the risks of everyday life through their tenure, their pay, and their pensions.
Liberals think they can have the benefits of a law-abiding society while undermining the morality and habits that hold a society together. We see that in Saul Alinsky’s writings. We see it in Bill Ayers. Of all the things to hate in the world…America? Where one of our biggest problems is disposing of the garbage that our bounty produces? Where the problem of poor people is obesity?
Give de Blasio credit. He ran on who he is. He ran on a program of ruining New York, particularly the New York of Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg, and he was elected. Obama was elected in a very low-turnout election after everybody knew who he was. So the people have spoken. And now we have to live with what liberalism does best, actually all it can do: liquidate a society. Liberalism never builds a society. That is what William Bradford discovered back in the 17th century on the Plymouth Plantation, when he went from common farming to private farming and saved the community.
A war on the police. Somewhere Saul Alinsky is smiling. And taking pride in his four servants…Obama, Holder, Sharpton, and de Blasio.
