Barack Obama brought America to the brink of socialism, tyranny and even despotism--Americans are done with politicians, government cronies, insiders, academics who hate Capitalism and free markets
Memo To Big Media, NeverTrumpers and Leftists: This Is Why Trump Was Elected
By vilifying Conservatives as sexists, racists, and imbeciles, political, academic, media, and cultural elites—the self-appointed arbiters of acceptable public debate—opened the door to a Trump presidency. And they are in a state of shock.
Political Correctness is used by the left as a weapon to destroy the fabric of American society. However, the leftist attack on speech in America may have ground to a halt with the election of Donald J. Trump as President.
There’s nothing voluntary about political correctness. Trump resonated during the 2016 campaign when he assured American voters he would usher in the end of political correctness, describing it as undermining all efforts to get a “straightforward assessment of the state of our nation.”
Americans, fed up over the loss of the basic right to speak freely and openly, were drawn to Trump in droves.
Mad As Hell
The 2016 Presidential Election was something right out of the 1976 Academy Award winning movie Network, where television news anchor Howard Beale, who learns he is going to be sacked because of falling ratings says, “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!”
This is pertinent for two reasons: 1) The American people effectively “sacked” Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, much for the same falling ratings; and 2) The American people are as mad as hell and not going to take it any more.
Why are Americans mad? The first obvious answer is that this election was a voter insurrection against the media and Democrat Party fixation on political correctness, and having identity politics used like a weapon.
Americans are fatigued with being told we can’t give voice to the obvious without outing ourselves as “racist, bigoted, ignorant, homophobic members of the KKK.” Donald Trump tapped into this fatigue, as well as the ridiculousness.
California Nightmare—The Dreamin’ is Over
Californians are living a nightmare, the likes of which could only be conceived by leftists: The highest housing costs in the country, highest poverty in the country, highest taxes and regulations in the country, the worst performing schools, high unemployment and a part-time service economy, explosive healthcare costs, the most illegal aliens living in any state, one-third of the nations’ welfare, a growing, radicalized government, and labor union dominance. Now California has a soaring crime rate with politicians emptying out the prisons and jails, while simultaneously passing Constitutionally dubious gun control laws, and legalizing marijuana. It’s a recipe for disaster.
Our Democrat governor and Democrat supermajority Legislature say publicly that climate change is the most important issue we face in the state, while continuing to pass oodles more laws benefitting illegal aliens, at the expense of taxpaying citizens. Lawmakers call it being “compassionate,” and try to silence anyone who disagrees, by threatening to fight us “in the streets.”
California is not alone. Many blue states are experiencing violent crime, riots, colossal numbers of illegal aliens, high unemployment and stagnating economies. Their politicians always point the finger elsewhere, or blame Republicans.
Stupid Trump Supporters
The media attacked, condescended, and made vile statements to and about Trump supporters during the campaign, and continue to do so.
“Economic anxiety is not a very good predictor of who’s a Trump supporter. Racial antagonism is a good indicator of who’s a Trump supporter,” said Liberal New York Times columnist Paul Krugman. Apparently it’s we racists’ fault for Trump’s popularity, and not the sputtering economy.
“The thing about Donald Trump is that he is the known. He is, it is very reminiscent of cross burning in front of your house. Of the KKK,” said Karine Jean-Pierre, a former adviser to Barack Obama, to Al Sharpton on his MSNBC show this week.
New York Times columnist Jim Rutenberg whined last summer that because Trump was “an abnormal and potentially dangerous candidate,” reporters could “throw out the textbook American journalism.” Rutenberg called Trump “a demagogue playing to the nation’s worst racist and nationalistic tendencies, that he cozies up to anti-American dictators and that he would be dangerous with control of the United States nuclear codes,” and asked “how the heck are you supposed to cover him?”
And they still wonder why Trump won.
Bogus Green Subsidies Cost Billions and Jobs
In America after eight years of Obama, we can’t mine coal or drill or frack for natural gas, or build the Keystone Pipeline. But the Obama government greedily gave billions of dollars in government subsidies to more than 50 bogus green energy companies, including the $500 million federal subsidy to Solyndra, which promptly went bust. American taxpayers were forced to subsidize climate change industries like solar company Solyndra, which were then located in the bluest states in the country as political payola.
The scandals of Solyndra, Sun Power, Beacon Power, Uni Solar, Evergreen Solar and many others, was perhaps a most egregious example of why Americans sacked Obama, and finally Hillary—it cost taxpayers more than $2.2 billion. The cronyism, failure rate, and blatant corruption at most of the companies receiving the subsidies was vast. The outcome was Americans’ tax bills increased nearly as fast as energy costs did.
There was some solid payback during Obama’s Presidency—Democrats lost 1,030 seats, between state legislatures, governorships and Congress.
Corporate Media Corruption
Voters are also fed up with the corporate media covering for the rigged Democrat Party super delegate process, which clearly had one function this election: to prevent Bernie Sanders from winning the Democrat Party nomination.
How to otherwise explain the Associated Press prematurely calling the Democrat primary for Hillary Clinton, despite 11 million Democrats who still had not voted in six states? The AP did this based on super delegates who had not yet voted, but said they were voting for Hillary, this interesting article explained.
The corporate media also provided ample cover to Obama for eight years, and the previous two years while he was campaigning, rather than being a watchdog and investigating this mystery man with the same vigor they shower on Republican candidates.
Obamacare—The Unaffordable Care Act
Perhaps the biggest policy overreach blunder from the Obama administration was passage of the Affordable Care Act.
An already flawed health insurance conglomeration, stifled by the lack of interstate purchasing, was only made worse with the passage of ObamaCare. Everyone in the country on private health plans experienced exponential health insurance increases—some more than doubled, others jumped by 700 percent. Those who chose to remain uninsured, rather than sign up for ObamaCare, receive heavy fines by the IRS.
In effect, ObamaCare didn’t just usher in health insurance for all; ObamaCare ensured that monthly insurance premiums became as high as the deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. Essentially, I pay as much in a year for my health insurance premiums as I would for two serious medical events. And if I have a major medical event, it’s almost all out-of-pocket because my deductibles are so high. That’s Obamacare—you’re paying astronomical monthly premiums and equally astronomical out-of-pocket costs, merely to receive catastrophic coverage. There is nothing “affordable” about ObamaCare.
Working America is Done With PC
Several European countries and Canada have made laws against using politically incorrect language. Even in America, kooky leftists believe that “hate speech” should be illegal and not protected under the Constitution. Yet only they are allowed to define hate speech—which is anything that makes them uncomfortable, unhappy, or uncomfortable. Age of Shitlords outlines which countries are the most obnoxiously PC in a 2015 article.
Universities and colleges in the U.S. and elsewhere are perhaps the most blatant example of political correctness:
- Students at the University of Oregon university wanted to remove a Martin Luther King Jr. quote from a wall because “it wasn’t inclusive enough.”
- A room full of white people was determined to be a “microaggression” by the University of Illinois at Urbana—Champaign.
- Oxford told its law students that they did not have to learn about rape or violence law if they found it too “triggering.”
These microaggressions and trigger warnings are part of a strange diversity movement to make campuses “safe spaces,” by eliminating any actions that could be remotely offensive or upsetting to minority (or even majority) groups, Reason explained. “As the term suggests, these hurts are considered tantamount to physical assault.”
Political Correctness came to a head this election because thinking, reasoning Americans know that compliance is forced. Leftists don’t just want to win the debate; they want to silence the opposition, and shut down any political expression from Americans with whom they disagree.
Liberals thought they’d already won America’s culture war and Hillary was an easy win. And now they are stupefied that Donald Trump won the Presidency.
Worst President Ever
Barack Obama brought America to the brink of socialism, tyranny and even despotism. Obama brought us close to war with Russia. He and his administration destabilized the entire Middle East, and took no military strategy or action to relieve the devastation and human suffering in Syria. Instead, Obama has chosen run the clock out, solely to preserve his shameful legacy.
This election proved that Americans are done with politicians, government cronies and insiders, and academics who hate Capitalism and free markets, who’ve never worked in the private sector, never had to be fiscally responsible, and never had to make business decisions impacting the lives of hundreds or thousands of employees.
And yet they will go on wondering why Trump won.
