“The Brotherhood: America’s Next Great Enemy”
“The Brotherhood: America’s Next Great Enemy”
Egypt’s Islamic Chaos, America’s Islamic Threat
The President who, in 2009, said he thought it unseemly to “meddle” in the affairs of Iran when protesters against its regime were being shot dead in the streets of Tehran, announced to the world on August 15, 2013 that he was angered by the killing of civilians in the streets of Cairo as the Muslim Brotherhood was busy burning Christian churches and homes when they weren’t firing on the Egyptian military that was attempting to end its efforts to impose Sharia rule.
Egypt may be thousands of miles away but the intent of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to destroy America and, of course, Israel is close to home as the President and his national security advisors have misled Americans as to the true intent and threat of the MB.
In his new book, “The Brotherhood: America’s Next Great Enemy”, Erick Stakelbeck reminds the reader that in February 2011, “the Obama administration’s Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, portray(ed) the Brotherhood as an Egyptian version of the Peace Corps.” At the time the “Arab Spring” protests were in full swing and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was on the verge of being overthrown. Clapper described the MB as a “largely secular” organization that has “pursued social ends” and a “betterment of the political order.” This was and is utter nonsense, a deception.
Clapper is rivaled in his ignorance of Islam by the current Director of the CIA, John Brennan, who is a well-known fan of Arabs and Islam. He routinely refers to Jerusalem by its Arabic name “Al-Quds” and has called jihad “a legitimate tenet of Islam”, extolling Islam as a faith of “peace and tolerance”, of “goodness and beauty””, that has “shaped (his) own worldview.”
The fact is that the Brotherhood has been repeatedly banned in Egypt, starting in 1948. In 1954 the MB tried to assassinate then-president Nasser and, as Stakelbeck notes, “The Brotherhood would be severely repressed in Egypt for most of the next five decades.” So even in a Muslim nation, the threat the MB represented was understood.
The battles in the streets of Cairo, Alexandria, and other Egyptian cities reflect the ultimate intent of Islam to dominate the governance of the Middle East and to establish a global caliphate. It is doubtful that most Americans realize the threat it poses more than a decade past 9/11.
For reasons that historians will puzzle over for years to come, Americans elected, not just the first black President in 2008 and, despite a record of foreign and domestic policy failure, reelected him in 2012. They elected a man who makes no effort to hide his deep sympathy and support of Islam.
During his June 2009 speech in Cairo, President Obama, the son of a Muslim and adopted son of a Muslim who had spent four years of his youth in Indonesia, an Islamic nation, had attended an Islamic school and even gone to prayers at a mosque, said “I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States of America to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”
Stakelbeck noted that “The Obama administration reportedly “insisted” that “at least ten Muslim Brothers (who were then in opposition to the Mubarak regime) be allowed to attend the speech.” Earlier, in January 2009, Obama gave his first formal interview as President to the Arabic-language network Al-Arabiya and, as we all know, in April 2009 at the G-20 Summit in London, the President of the United States bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia “as other Western leaders looked on in shock.”
Earlier, Stakelbeck had described “the bow” as a “shameless act of groveling, performed in one of his first forays onto the international stage” that “signaled that debasing America and exalting Islam would be key elements in achieving his oft-stated goal of improving America’s image in the Muslim world.” We are all witness to how well that has worked out.
“Just thirteen days after Islamic jihadists murdered four Americans in Benghazi; the president stood before the world’s leaders” at the UN General Assembly on September 25, 2012, “and uttered the now-infamous line: ‘The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.’”
Founded in 1928 the Muslim Brotherhood is defined by its hatred of the West and of Jews. Stakelbeck warns that “The MB’s much-deserved reputation for violence, radicalism, anti-Americanism, and anti-Semitism is rapidly disappearing in the Age of Obama” and that is why the struggle for a modern Egypt being fought there against the MB requires the full support of the United States as its military strives to drive its members and supporters from its streets. Obama’s response has been to take time from playing golf to denounce the current interim government that removed Muhammad Morsi from office.
What do you need to know about the Muslim Brotherhood? Consider its motto: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” It is devoted to imposing Sharia law on the world, a barbaric system that promotes beheadings, stoning, discrimination against women and other religions.
“The Muslim Brotherhood”, notes Stakelbeck, “is now present in at least eighty countries, and according to one longtime Brotherhood leaders, boasts some 100 million adherents worldwide.”
It has long been active in the United States through a web of front organizations.
A demonstration of its utter contempt for America is a planned “Million Muslim March: in Washington, D.C. on September 11 by the American Political Action Committee “to demand social justice by the U.S. government”, claiming that Muslims “continue 12 years later to be victimized by being made the villains.”
Despite 9/11, despite the murder spree by Major Nidal Hasan of solders at Fort Hood, and despite the Boston Marathon bombing, militant Muslims in America such as AMPAC’s spokesman, Isa Hodge, are claiming that “our government either sits idly by and does nothing to protect our freedoms or it exacerbates the problem with its constant war on terrorism in Islamic countries…” adding “These lies told to the American population have made it impossible for us to do true Dawa”, the practice of proselytizing or preaching Islam.
On September 11 in the nation’s capital, the lies Hodge has spoken will be repeated. Within them is hidden the greatest threat to the nation and the West, to Christians, Jews, and other “unbelievers.”
Stakelbeck warns that “We’ve neutered ourselves as a society and succumbed completely to a suicidal brand of political correctness imposed by the leftist gatekeepers of the media, the government, and academia. We’ve also just about dumbed ourselves down to the point of no return. And the Brothers know it.”
The threat that the Muslim Brotherhood, al Qaeda, and militant Islam poses will be like the smoke from an incipient forest fire wafting through the nation’s capital on September 11. Actual fires are burning in Egypt these days and our enemies live and walk among us.

When will they acknowledge that their argument is wrong, and stop ranting at us with calls for more government, more control, and more intervention into our lives?

Progressives’ Favorite Word: “Rant”
Progressives promote one of the emptiest world views.
They believe in the perfectibility of man because they believe in the mutability of human nature. They also believe that more government is good government.
They accept that man is basically good, even though he is a mixture of a fallen nature with a divine calling. This duality of man offends the sensibilities of most progressives, who believe that man is capable of nothing but good.
One engaged in a progressive policy of state power, establishing safe cities with no gun violence. He supported a vegetarian diet. His public works projects employed millions, including a long-standing automobile highway. He also made sure that every person had his own car.
That “progressive” was Adolph Hitler, and he loved to “rant”.
He wanted to make the state the end-all-and-be-all of mankind, but the evil of the hearts of men chooses winners and losers, and in a state-controlled world, the winners inevitably do terrible things to “losers”, including ethnic and religious minorities which do not identify with the perfection of “man” as progressives define this perfection.
Man has eternity set within him. Human nature alone is rather powerless and inept. This greatness supersedes anything from the state.
The force of culture, the power of tradition, and the certainty of greater verities than oneself enable a man to be more than what he is.
Not through his own efforts, emotions, or skills, nor by his own will.
Not force, but faith, not works but words of faith. Not trying, but trust.
Risk is really a matter of a man not have security within himself.
This security cannot be created in the mind of one man.
These arguments may sound like “rants” to most progressives only because they do not want to discuss issues. They want to talk about identities.
For that reason, progressives will label “rant” to any argument which differs with their views of man, of human nature, or anything which touches on the proper, as in limited, role of government.
For all of their ranting, when will they acknowledge that their argument is wrong, and stop ranting at us with calls for more government, more control, and more intervention into our lives?

a racist rodeo clown
Justice Department won't look into Benghazi, Would be ironic that the Justice Department would investigate a clown
Tears of a racist rodeo clown
It is sad day in America when a rodeo clown can no longer perform at a state fair. We are now living in a country that is suffocating from the deadly grip of political correctness.
Last week, a video of the Missouri State Fair surfaced on YouTube. It showed a rodeo clown wearing an Obama mask, having fun. The announcer asked the crowd if they wanted to see the President “run down by a bull.” This is not racism; this is typical of the harmless entertainment provided by rodeo clowns.
Of course, the professional agitators in the NAACP and the liberal media did not see the antics as harmless, they complained and yelled racism. In fact, the complaints were so intense the clown was banned for life in Missouri. In addition, the rodeo association President and announcer resigned from their positions. To add insult to injury, in the future, all rodeo clowns must undergo sensitivity training. Will Missouri hire Reverend Al Sharpton, the king of racial grievance, to teach Obama mask sensitivity? Ironically, Barack Obama once donned a mask of his likeness for an episode of Saturday Night Live. No one called for the President to submit to sensitivity training.
Truly, this whole story is ridiculous. It is quite sad that comedians or clowns are not allowed to make jokes about President Obama or have fun at his expense. Because the President is half Black, it seems his defenders believe he is off limits to all comedy. For the past five years, late night comedians have been very reluctant to lampoon Obama; yet, many of these same comedians had a field day with Republican Presidents such as Reagan, G. H. W. Bush and G. W. Bush.
Republican Presidents were also the target of rodeo clowns. For example, in 1994, at a Pennsylvania rodeo, a George H. W. Bush dummy was torn to shreds by a rampaging bull. In response, there was no outcry from the media or from the race hustlers in the NAACP.
In this case, the NAACP has called for the Secret Service and the Justice Department to investigate the clown for his antics. If the Secret Service has nothing better to do than investigate a clown, our country is in serious trouble.
At least one politician is not cowering in fear of the NAACP. U.S. Representative Steve Stockman (R-TX) invited the clown to perform in Texas. He called the NAACP demands “silly” and recommended that the Justice Department and Secret Service ignore the calls for an investigation. As Stockman noted, “We can’t get the Justice Department to look at Benghazi, so it would be ironic that the Justice Department would investigate a clown.”
All Americans should remember we have a First Amendment right of free speech. This amendment protects all sorts of speech, even comedy. Thankfully, the United States of America is a constitutional republic, not a monarchy or a dictatorship. Our Presidents are public servants and work for us. If we want to make fun of them, it is not an act of racism; it is our right as an American.
By the way, political parodies are as old as our country. Our first President, George Washington, was mocked by the satirists of his era.
Barack Obama should not be given any special treatment because he is an African American. He should be treated like every other President, no better or worse. He should receive praise from his supporters, and criticism and ridicule from his opponents. It is a tradition as old as our republic and it should not be sacrificed just because some liberals are upset with the innocuous antics of a rodeo clown.

Egypt to Outlaw Muslim Brotherhood? Why Not Here, Barack?
Meanwhile, back at Martha’s Vineyard, President Obama maintains a full schedule of golfing, swimming, denial concerning events on the Nile
Egypt to Outlaw Muslim Brotherhood? Why Not Here, Barack?
Perhaps common sense is still a viable option in war-ravaged Egypt, after all. That seems possible given reports that those responsible for the non-coup there are considering making Muslim Brotherhood extremists illegal.
Egyptian authorities are considering disbanding the Muslim Brotherhood group, a government spokesman said Saturday, once again outlawing a group that held the pinnacle of government power just more than a month earlier.
The announcement comes after security forces broke up two sit-in protests this week by those calling for the reinstatement of President Mohammed Morsi, a Brotherhood leader deposed in a July 3 coup. The clashes killed more than 600 people that day and sparked protests and violence that killed 173 people Friday alone.
Cabinet spokesman Sherif Shawki said that Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawi, who leads the military-backed government, assigned the Ministry of Social Solidarity to study the legal possibilities of dissolving the group. He didn’t elaborate.
The Muslim Brotherhood group, founded in 1928, came to power a year ago when its Morsi was elected in the country’s first free presidential elections. The election came after the overthrow of autocrat Hosni Mubarak in a popular uprising in 2011.
The fundamentalist group has been banned for most of its 80-year history and repeatedly subjected to crackdowns under Mubarak’s rule. While sometimes tolerated and its leaders part of the political process, members regularly faced long bouts of imprisonment and arbitrary detentions.”
Meanwhile, back at Martha’s Vineyard, President Barack Obama maintains a full schedule of golfing, swimming, and denial concerning events on the Nile, while huddling with fellow Democrats to add 11 million invading Mexicans to the Democrat Party base through amnesty and other sleight of hand nonsense reminiscent of the manner by which the doomed ObamaCare mess was passed through Congress.
Just as the Egyptian people do not need to be burdened with the Muslim Brotherhood, so it is that bankrupt America does not need to add 11 million non-English speaking illegal aliens.
Just Say NO! to both the Muslim Brotherhood and the illegal Aliens from Mexico!

Let’s Not Wait 3 More Years to Get Rid of Our Dictator
The oath of office of the President of the United States is simple and concise
Let’s Not Wait 3 More Years to Get Rid of Our Dictator
It’s starting to feel like everybody except liberal Democrats and Muslims acknowledge the wrongs against our country that our usurper president has done, is doing and will do are impeachable; that’s good enough for a start, but by whom for goodness sake?
Whether we have a group of leaders who quake in their boots at the thought of holding another impeachment session in Congress, or they have joined the enemy and will allow him to do all the damage he wants in return for a friendly nod from the worst criminal ever to dwell in our sacred White House is the dilemma.
Who would have suspected that the socialistic Washington Post would ever publish an article about a conservative Republican from Texas who spouts off about knowing that the House of Representatives of Congress has enough votes to impeach Obama?
And to top that off, can anyone out there with a straight face honestly say they believe a ‘dyed-in-the-wool’, hardcore liberal socialist/communist spouting Democrat from Ohio would actually charge his political party leader of committing an impeachable offense in public? Well, it happened recently when Dennis Kuchinich, a former candidate for the office of president said Obama committed an “impeachable offense” in deciding to authorize U.S. airstrikes over Libya Saturday without the consent of Congress as posted by CNN Political Producer Alexander Mooney.
“President Obama moved forward without Congress approving. He didn’t have Congressional authorization, he has gone against the Constitution, and that’s got to be said,” Kucinich told the web site ‘Raw Story’ on Monday. “It’s not even disputable, this isn’t even a close question.”
This incident with Kuchinich occurred some two years ago about when Obama ordered the attack on Khadaffi’s Lybian stronghold, so you see how much action anyone has taken in the period since. It seems all of official Washington has some form of paralysis or lockjaw when it comes to charging Obama with treasonous offenses that void our Constitution.
They worry about the Senate letting Obama off the hook after being charged by the House. They are probably right but it would serve to show how anti-U.S. Constitution he really is and how they would turn against their country instead of a guilty-of-treason individual from their political party. The following elections would be hazardous for all who vote to let Obama off the hook.
I say DO IT! It will put the Socialist liberal Democrats out there in the public’s eye to show their lack of patriotism; and, it will show a lot of people exactly just what kind of cretin we have for a president. As it stands now, he is not charged for ANY OF HIS CRIMES AGAINST THE COUNTRY, AND THAT’S NOT RIGHT.
If anyone has any doubts about the numerous offenses that have been lodged against Obama, just do a simple online search “numerous charges for impeachment of president obama”. I’m sure you will grow weary just trying to read a bit of all of them. One blogger recently listed over 30 incidents where Obama could have been charged and others say that is just the tip of iceberg.
About the worry on the part of those who feel the Senate will not finish the job with a conviction; so what? They did the same thing when Clinton was impeached; a handful of RINOs decided that even a court ruling against him didn’t matter and left him go scot free. But the country learned the truth about him and he has never been the same since that trial. If it teaches the people the truth about Obama and his transgressions against OUR country, (he is not a true American), it might save being tossed to the corrupt United Nations.
book has been written by New York Times best-selling authors Aaron Klein and co-author Brenda J. Elliott with the title “Impeachable Offenses: The Case for Removing Barack Obama” ‘Constitutional Lawyer Michael Connelly” is quoted by saying, ““Has Mr. Barack Obama committed any offenses that subject him to being impeached by the Congress of the United States?”
The answer is without a doubt, YES, YES, YES because he has grossly repeatedly breached his oath of office. The oath of office of the President of the United States is simple and concise: “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
Obama has not only NOT preserved, protected and defended the Constitution of the United States but he has also done his best to “execute the office of the President of the United States” - execute in the meaning as to kill that office for anyone to follow him.
He is most unfit for further chances to destroy the nation that our founding fathers so carefully put together; get him out of there and don’t allow him to continue in office for THREE MORE YEARS.
Egypt championing Coptic Christians while Obama plays Nero

Egypt championing Coptic Christians while Obama plays Nero
Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham should take lessons in courage from Egyptian defense minister Col. Gen. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has vowed to rebuild Coptic Churches destroyed by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Not only is the courageous El-Sisi vowing to rebuild Muslim Brotherhood-destroyed Coptic Churches, but his order aims to have them rebuilt ASAP, according to the Mid-East Christian News.
“The Egyptian defense minister ordered the engineering department of the armed forces to swiftly repair all the affected churches, in recognition of the historical and national role played by our Coptic brothers,” read a statement that aired on Egyptian television.
“The Egyptian defense minister has ordered the repair and reconstruction of all churches that suffered damage in the country’s violent demonstrations since the Egyptian military removed President Mohamed Morsi from power last month.
“Defense minister Col. Gen. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi intends to fix the damage to Coptic churches at Rabaa Adaweya and Nahda squares and says the Muslim Brotherhood should pay the cost to rebuild them.
“Dozens of churches were attacked and burned in riots after thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Cairo and other Egyptian cities to demand the end of what they call military rule, following the removal of Morsi on July 3. Many of Morsi’s supporters have voiced criticism at Egypt’s Christian minority for largely supporting the military’s decision to oust him from office.” (Fox News, August 16, 2013)
Ordinary citizens in vigilante groups have managed to save some of the churches from destruction: “I watched the Brotherhood move on a church hours ago and saw them flee when citizens gathered quickly to defend it, and I will send you the video,” Canada Free Press (CFP) Cairo reporter Ali Sharnoby told CFP on Skype last night.
Coptic Christian H. G. Bishop Moussa thanked Sisi for his efforts to repair the damaged churches. “We thank Col. Gen. Sisi for commissioning the brave Egyptian armed forces to rebuild the places of worship damaged during the recent events,” Bishop Moussa said on Twitter….
The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR), an Egyptian NGO, says at least 25 churches were torched this week, and attackers also targeted Christian schools, shops and homes across all 27 provinces.
Yesterday top U.S. Senate Republicans McCain and Graham were siding against El Sisi and throwing in with the Muslim Brotherhood by issuing a joint statement “to suspend U.S. assistance to Egypt and make clear to the current leadership of the country what steps we believe are necessary to halt Egypt’s descent into civil conflict and ultimately to restore our assistance relationship, which has historically served U.S. national security interests.”
“The interim civilian government and security forces—backed up, unfortunately by the military—are taking Egypt down a dark path, one that the United States cannot and should not travel with them,” the statement said.” (UPI, Aug. 16, 2013)
One wonders what kind of path this duo thought the Muslim Brotherhood was taking Egypt down.
Their joint statement made even less sense when it is considered that it was made while their president was dining on seafood and entertaining staff and friends in Martha’s Vineyard as Cairo streets ran red in the blood of civilians.
Obama did take time out from partying to say that the United States has cancelled a joint U.S.-Egyptian military exercise because of the Egyptian crackdown on protests supporting Morsi—without, of course ever mentioning that he was quite willing to have military exercises when it was Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Morsi in power.
Meanwhile, just to keep the players straight for readers: It is Egypt where a Muslim leader is championing the rights of Christians by rebuilding their torched churches. And it is in the United States where mosques are being built and Christians are being marginalized.

Obama-worshippers: Sign Petition For Obama To Repeal Bill of Rights
Obama-worshippers: Sign Petition For Obama To Repeal Bill of Rights
Are the Pressures of Failure and Fear of Imprisonment Forcing Obama to Take Over Our Country?
We’ve had some bad presidents over the nearly two and one half centuries of our existence, but never as bad and more troubled as we have seen and continue to see from the likes of Barack Hussein Obama. This plant, quite unexpectedly, came on to our scene with absolutely NO proven background, and no positive credentials of any national significance. His administration since taking over the role of President in a Usurper status, has been the most administratively faulty and scandal plagued, foolish and perilously reckless and profligately doling out our taxpayers’ money in a bankrupting manner outright to openly declared enemies whom he has befriended.
Among these recipients of his grandstanding and our sorrow are the Islamic terrorists, corrupt anti-American United Nations members, as well as to personal friends and family. All this and more while our national debt numbers keep skyrocketing into never before heard of brackets that would embarrass a collective group of ultra rich oil barons.
Sadly for the United States, he is having much fun doing it spending obscene amounts of taxpayer dollars and fueling higher national debt numbers and as reported, he curses revered honorable events such as Independence Day because he could have been playing golf instead. He is making a mockery of our government and thumbing his nose at the very people WHO PAY THE GREATEST BULK OF TAXES FOR OUR GOVERNMENT.
There is no question that he is accomplishing the assassination and demise or our once great nation (circa BO; Before Obama). He is on a mission of national destruction that was neither programmed nor spoken of prior to his ascendency to the power of the presidency, under false pretenses of legal citizenship, ever attempting to hand over our sovereignty to the corrupt and greedy United Nations through personally concocted treaties unwanted by the public.
There is also not much question that he and his personal staff of czars and cabinet members are all working tirelessly to find more and more ways to totally destroy our beloved Constitution, proclaimed all over the world as the best and longest lasting legal document of all similar essays of all the countries in the world. His most recent attack on our staff of support and bible of laws came ironically during this month of birth of our independence from tyranny just as he is now exhibiting.
In the Freedom Outpost on July 11, 2013, Dean Garrison authored “US Citizens Sign Petition For Obama To Repeal Bill of Rights”. Can you believe it, the fundamental underpinnings of the initial rights of our country’s constitution for the people, including freedom of speech and religion, freedom to bear arms, and actually all of the freedoms that we as American enjoy in our daily lives?
Garrison spoke of “a bunch of apathetic Obama-worshippers who probably don’t know what the Bill of Rights is. Make no mistake my friends. If Obama could have 300 million people in America with this mentality he would. This is exactly how really bad people gain power. If you gain control of enough “useful idiots” then you have a power base that is tough to overcome.”
The author cites this quote from one of, if not the most flagrant tyrants in the history of the world, Germany’s Adolph Hitler; this domineering, slick-talking murderer said, “How lucky for those in power, that people don’t think.”
How lucky indeed. To think that after all the egregious mistakes and scandalous events in just Obama’s first half year of his second term, let alone the many scary things from his first term in total, his lemmings, or those so densely imbued with his karma and charisma, and trickery and deceit as to be deaf, dumb and blind to keep his approval record in these, his worst days, still at or near the fifty percent mark. No wonder the man is going for broke and wants the high levels of the United Nations to enshrine him at the head of the entire world.
Then, as if the scandals in Obama’s Departments of the Executive Branch, IRS, NSA, and State, to mention just a few, Obama was not content to quit while his favorable numbers had only slipped a few slots below the 50 percent mark, he decided in his addelpated brain to once again thumb his nose at the taxpayers of the country who support the mining of coal.
in the words of Suzanne Hamner of Freedom Outpost and the Daily Caller, “Obama Will Use $8 Billion Of Taxpayer’s Money To Wage War On Coal, Leaving Thousands Unemployed” online July 10, 2013. In addition to adding MORE unnecessary and unneeded billions to our lofty and unparalleled national debt, his vendetta against 280 coal-fired generating plants could cost the jobs of thousands of the employees at those plants.
Hey, you Obama voters, how’s all that mountainous national debt and the loss of thousands more jobs sitting with you now?
Tiny amounts of this miracle molecule make life on Earth possible
Tiny amounts of this miracle molecule make life on Earth possible
Carbon dioxide: The “gas of life”
It’s amazing that minuscule bacteria can cause life-threatening diseases and infections – and miraculous that tiny doses of vaccines and antibiotics can safeguard us against these deadly scourges. It is equally incredible that, at the planetary level, carbon dioxide is a miracle molecule for plants – and the “gas of life” for most living creatures on Earth.
In units of volume, CO2’s concentration is typically presented as 400 parts per million (400 ppm). Translated, that’s just 0.04% of Earth’s atmosphere – the equivalent of 40 cents out of one thousand dollars, or 1.4 inches on a football field. Even atmospheric argon is 23 times more abundant: 9,300 ppm. Moreover, the400 ppm in 2013 is 120 ppm more than the 280 ppm carbon dioxide level of 1800, and that two-century increase is equivalent to a mere 12 cents out of $1,000, or one half-inch on a football field.
Eliminate carbon dioxide, and terrestrial plants would die, as would lake and ocean phytoplankton, grasses, kelp and other water plants. After that, animal and human life would disappear. Even reducing CO2 levels too much – back to pre-industrial levels, for example – would have terrible consequences.
Over the past two centuries, our planet finally began to emerge from the Little Ice Age that had cooled the Earth and driven Viking settlers out of Greenland. Warming oceans slowly released some of the carbon dioxide stored in their waters. Industrial Revolution factories and growing human populations burned more wood and fossil fuels, baked more bread, and brewed more beer, adding still more CO2 to the atmosphere. Much more of the miracle molecule came from volcanoes and subsea vents, forest fires, biofuel use, decaying plants and animals, and “exhaust” from living, breathing animals and humans.
What a difference that extra 120 ppm has made for plants, and for animals and humans that depend on them. The more carbon dioxide there is in the atmosphere, the more it is absorbed by plants of every description – and the faster and better they grow, even under adverse conditions like limited water, extremely hot air temperatures, or infestations of insects, weeds and other pests. As trees, grasses, algae and crops grow more rapidly and become healthier and more robust, animals and humans enjoy better nutrition on a planet that is greener and greener.
Efforts to feed seven billion people, and improve nutrition for more than a billion who are malnourished, are steadily increasing the tension between our need for land to feed humans – and the need to keep land in its natural state to support plants and wildlife. How well we are able to increase crop production from the same or less acreage may mean the difference between global food sufficiency and rampant human starvation in coming decades – and between the survival and extinction of many plant and animal species.
Modern agricultural methods steadily and dramatically improved crop yields per acre between 1930 and today. That is especially important if we continue to divert millions of acres of farmland from food crops, and convert millions of acres of rainforest and other wildlife habitat to cropland, for biofuel production to replace fossil fuels that we again have in abundance. Carbon dioxide will play a vital role in these efforts.
Increased CO2 levels in greenhouses dramatically improve plant growth
Increased CO2 levels in greenhouses dramatically improve plant growth, especially when temperatures are also elevated; rising atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have likewise had astounding positive impacts on outdoor plant growth and survival. Lentils and other legumes grown in hothouses with 700 ppm CO2 improved their total biomass by 91%, their edible parts yield by 150 % and their fodder yield by 67%, compared to similar crops grown at 370 ppm carbon dioxide, Indian researchers found.
Rice grown at 600 ppm CO2 increased its grain yield by 28% with low applications of nitrogen fertilizer, Chinese scientists calculated. U.S. researchers discovered that sugarcane grown in sunlit greenhouses at 720 ppm CO2 and 11 degrees F (6 degrees C) higher than outside ambient air produced stem juice an amazing 124% higher in volume than sugarcane grown at ambient temperature and 360 ppm carbon dioxide. Non-food crops like cotton also fare much better when carbon dioxide levels are higher.
Research into natural forest and crop growth during recent periods of rising atmospheric carbon dioxide levels, between 1900 and 2010, found significant improvements under “real-world” conditions, as well.
An analysis of Scots pines in Catalonia, Spain showed that tree diameter and cross-sectional area expanded by 84% between 1900 and 2000, in response to rising CO2 levels. The growth of young Wisconsin trees increased by 60%, and tree ring width expanded by almost 53%, as atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations increased from 316 ppm in 1958 to 376 ppm in 2003, researchers calculated.
University of Minnesota scientists compared the growth of trees and other plants during the first half of the twentieth century (which included the terrible Dust Bowl years), when CO2 levels rose only 10 ppm – to the period 1950-2000, when CO2 increased by 57 ppm. They found that carbon dioxide lowered plant sensitivity to severe drought and improved their survival rates by almost 50%. Swiss researchers concluded that, because of rising carbon dioxide levels, “alpine plant life is proliferating, biodiversity is on the rise, and the mountain world appears more productive and inviting than ever.”
Other researchers used historical (real-world) data for land use, atmospheric CO2 concentration, nitrogen deposition, fertilization, ozone levels, rainfall and climate, to develop a computer model that simulates plant growth responses for southern US habitats from 1895 to 2007. They determined that “net primary productivity” improved by an average of 27% during this 112-year period, with most of the increased growth occurring after 1950, when CO2 levels rose the most, from 310ppm in 1950 to 395 ppm in 2007.
How does all this happen? Plants use energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide from the air, and water and minerals from the soil, into the carbohydrates and other molecules that form plant biomass. More CO2 means more and larger flowers; higher seed mass and germination success; and improved plant resistance to droughts, diseases, viruses, pathogenic infections, air pollutants, and salt or nitrogen accumulation in soils. Higher CO2 levels also improve plants’ water use efficiency – ensuring faster and greater carbon uptake by plant tissues, with less water lost through transpiration.
More airborne CO2 lets plants reduce the size of their stomata, little holes in leaves that plants use to inhale carbon dioxide building blocks. When CO2 is scarce, the openings increase in size, to capture sufficient supplies of this “gas of life.” But increasing stomata size means more water molecules escape, and the water loss places increasing stress on the plants, eventually threatening their growth and survival.
When the air’s carbon dioxide levels rise – to 400, 600 or 800 ppm – the stomata shrink in size, causing them to lose less water from transpiration, while still absorbing ample CO2 molecules. That enables them to survive extended dry spells much better.
(The 2009 and 2011 volumes of the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change report, Climate Change Reconsidered, especially this section, and Dr. Craig Idso’s CO2science.org website summarize hundreds of similar studies of crops, forests, grasslands, alpine areas and deserts enriched by carbon dioxide. CO2 Science’s Plant Growth Database lets people search for more studies.)
Praise carbon dioxide – not vilify, ban or bury it
One of the worst things that could happen to our planet and its people, animals and plants would be for carbon dioxide levels to plunge back to levels last seen before the Industrial Revolution. Decreasing CO2 levels would be especially problematical if Earth cools, in response to the sun entering another “quiet phase,” as happened during the Little Ice Age. If Earth cools again, growing seasons would shorten and arable cropland would decrease in the northern temperate zones. We would then need every possible molecule of carbon dioxide – just to keep agricultural production high enough to stave off mass human starvation … and save wildlife habitats from being plowed under to replace that lost cropland.
However, even under current Modern Warm Era conditions, crops, other plants, animals and people will benefit from more carbon dioxide. The “gas of life” is a miracle plant fertilizer that helps plants grow and prosper – greening the planet, nourishing wildlife habitats, feeding people who crave larger amounts of more nutritious food, preventing species loss, and even warming the Earth a little.
That is an amazing fete for a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that comprises just 0.04 percent of our atmosphere! We should praise carbon dioxide – not vilify, ban or bury it.

Obama's 21st century tyranny
Obama's 21st century tyranny
Article 1, Section 1 of the United States Constitution states:
All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
There is nothing ambiguous in that single sentence. All legislative powers really means just that, all legislative powers. There are no exceptions for executive orders or the utopian desires of our new progressive princes, Obama's politically appointed czars. The Constitution was designed so that all laws were to be submitted in public, written and debated in public, voted on in congressional committees in full public view and the bill's final votes for passage were to be cast in public.
First, there was the delay of Obamacare's Medicare cuts until after the election. Then there was the delay of the law's employer mandate. Then there was the announcement, buried in the Federal Register, that the administration would delay enforcement of a number of key eligibility requirements for the law's health insurance subsidies, relying on the "honor system" instead. Now comes word that another costly provision of the health law-its caps on out-of-pocket insurance costs-will be delayed for one more year.
Why does Congress allow a sitting President to alter a law that they themselves passed and which was signed into legislation? Such alterations are simply unconstitutional.
If a President can unilaterally change or alter Obamacare or any other Federal law without Congressional approval, then our political institutions have been effectively dissolved, and America has fell into the dark pit of unbridled despotism.
By delaying the employer mandate (whose fines are defined as taxes by the Supreme Court), but not the individual mandate. Obama has created a two-tier tax system based on the employment status of the taxpayer. That is simply unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause. So this is more than a just a delay of a Federal law, this changes the amount of taxes some taxpayers will have to pay...entirely by executive fiat.
Obama's illegal, immoral (as if our Narcissist-in-Chief actually gives damn about morality) and unconstitutional honeymoon with tyranny can only lead to further and more destructive abuses of existing Federal regulations. Since this President has seemingly gotten away with delaying a Federal law for one year, what's to stop him from delaying any federal laws from being enforced for two years, five years or even twenty-five years?
We all know that famous ribald joke:
A famous man at a charity banquet asks the beautiful young woman next to him, "Assuming that we gave the money to charity, would you sleep with me for ten thousand dollars?" After some thought she says, "Yes." "And would you for two dollars?" "Why, what do you think I am!" "We've already decided that. Now we're just haggling about price."
Just substitute despot for prostitute and we are haggling over what constitutes a post-Constitutional America.
Could Obama expedite implementing the Senate's version of the current immigration reform bill by simply delaying the funding to build and maintain the new border fences? Easy as the stoke of a pen. How about changing tax depreciation tables without Congressional approval? Just sign there, Mr. President.
Why would Obama even need Congress or the Courts, if the laws Congress passes are flexible, changeable, spongy, adjustable, pliable, ductile,, malleable and ultimately removable? He simply wouldn't. With such singular dictatorial authority, Obama may easily eradicate his political enemies and the ensure the payoffs of his political cronies.
America is dangerously close to having a functional 21st century tyranny sustained by a rampart of interlocking of governmental databases and a zealous bureaucracy that seeks out and punishes any reactionary dissent. All this with the blessings of the MSM, whose fate will be the fate of all "useful idiots" once their usefulness has passed.

Obama and the Death of Capitalism
Obama and the Death of Capitalism, Taxes, Regulations, Lawsuits
This administration has been exceedingly heavy-handed in its efforts to demonize businesses, while promising that businesses will be highly taxed and regulated. Whether it is labor regulation by the NRLB or environmental regulation by the EPA, government interference is overreaching and restrictive.
Obama has provided the background for a litigation-friendly environment
Additionally there have been huge increases in both criminal rules and regulations about what businesses are allowed and not allowed to do — from nitpicky labor rules to dictating employee minutiae to minimum wage requirements which restrict business hiring.
More importantly, Obama has provided the background for a litigation-friendly environment. If a larger, more financially stable company wants to steal something from a smaller company, they can sue them or just threaten with a costly legal battle. Or, if labor doesn’t like them, they can force them to shut them down as an alternative to litigation.
Obama: “You didn’t build that”
Finally, Obama has taken the stuffing out of entrepreneurship by telling people “you didn’t build that” — meaning it’s not yours and it belongs to everyone else. He delivered the further blows that if you are successful, we’re going to take your success away from you by taxing you to death with higher rates and surtaxes.
Of course, there will be some successes. It just now takes a higher level of skill, ideas, and money to exercise your entrepreneurial spirit. It’s not like there won’t be the Jeffrey Bezo or the Bill Gates or the Steve Jobs. They’ll still come through everything despite the immense impediments. The problem is that it is the middle entrepreneurs who will have a hard time getting started, and even when they do, they will likely get discouraged in the mess. But it is this middle group, the bread-and-butter of small businesses, that have made this country great. That future is threatened, as we are seeing now in subtle shifts within the realm of business making.
The future of this country will continue to decline if the anti-business sentiment that Obama has unleashed is allowed to continue. The middle entrepreneurs, the mom-and-pops, the family businesses are the ones that make up the difference between the very tepid growth that we are seeing and the strong growth and recovery that could be better—that we would be experiencing right now as we have in the past—if businesses actually had better opportunity.
Businesses go into business not to comply with government dictates, but to provide a product, a service, to make things. The very liberty for Americans to have the opportunity to succeed and fail, to take risk, to survive, and to thrive is under siege.

Is It Time to Organize the Revolution
Is It Time to Organize the Revolution?
“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.” -Patrick Henry
About 45 days ago an article entitled “If They Come for Your Guns Do You Have a Responsibility to Fight?” At the time this article, from an obscure blogger, changed my world. Within days I had become part of something much bigger than I could have ever imagined. The post was featured on literally hundreds of websites, and to date has received millions of readers.
How did it happen? Well on January 3rd, people were still not saying what needed to be said and I suppose I was one of the first to say it. It is not about deer hunting and we are all covered by a second amendment which is about our rights to protect ourselves from tyranny. So I said it. If they come for your guns it is not only your right but your responsibility to fight. Yes, that includes firing upon them. It’s not about hunting deer. The second amendment is about hunting tyrants.
Since pushing the “publish” button, I have had literally hundreds of conversations with people who believe that tyranny is an unchecked virus within our own federal government. I get so many messages every day that I can literally not respond to all of them. So, today I want to talk about where we go from here.
It is a growing conception that we can not wait. While we sit and wait, our government continues an all out assault on our rights as free men and women of the United States of America. Many people believe that there is no peaceful alternative. Many people believe that we must organize and fight. Today I can offer no concrete set of actions but I do want to lay out some thoughts that I think need to be discussed.
************************************************************************************************************************************
First I need to tell you that I sincerely believe that the government is, in a twisted way, hoping that a small group of Patriots will organize and start a half-cocked rebellion. I think they realize that this can happen and also realize that it can strengthen their case for gun control. I would not put it past them to stage such an event.
I believe that a small, poorly planned rebellion will do us more harm than good. It will be easily suppressed and it will give the powers that be even more ammunition for a declaration of martial law. It is my belief that martial law, or a “police state,” is the end goal of this administration. You don’t have to look hard to see that they are preparing for it. As recently as two weeks ago the Reverend Jesse Jackson was even asking for it in his home town of Chicago.
************************************************************************************************************************************
We must understand that there are literally millions of people who have concluded that letters, petitions, peaceful demonstrations and elections are not working. They are in agreement that revolution is the only way to potentially fix this problem. But if a small group of 50 or even 500 people start the revolt, it is likely to go nowhere. We must develop a united front and we must go through proper channels. We can not skirt the law to try to uphold it.
The problem I see, once again, is the same problem that I witnessed 45 days ago. Everyone is waiting for someone to take the lead. So today I am going to offer to do that. With that said, I want to tell you that I am nothing more than a blogger. I don’t have any grand visions of being elected to any office. I am not a skilled military strategist. I am not an advanced “prepper” or survival expert. I am nothing special. I suppose the only thing truly special about me is that I am not afraid to speak my mind. I still understand that this is my God-given right as an American citizen.
ndaa I know full well that the first amendment in this country is currently an illusion. I know that writing this could get me arrested or killed. If you were to ask me if I was afraid I would simply answer that yes I am afraid, but I am more afraid of what will happen to our country if people do not begin to speak up.
I understand and follow the methods our current administration and lawmakers are using to take away our most basic rights. They can detain me indefinitely. If they choose to see me as an enemy of the state they can do worse. There will be no due process. It will not matter how many people support me. I can be made to disappear and become a non-factor. So why am I speaking about this?
Once again, it’s because someone has to. Until someone starts to speak of these things we have zero chance to change anything. We can’t fight the destruction of America with splintered cells of people who are afraid to raise their voices. We must be United. This is not negotiable.
************************************************************************************************************************************
I will not endorse an open attack (violent or non-violent) upon the federal government unless and until I feel like we have given them one last chance to represent us.
wethepplThe first thing that “We the People” must do is set forth a list of our demands. This is our country. We need to pinpoint every change that we wish to see made and we must deliver these to the lawmakers. I am offering today to be that messenger. That is one thing that I can do, but I can not do it alone. I will need massive response. The only way that will happen is if this post goes viral like the post from 45 days ago. I can not guarantee that will happen, but I can guarantee it will happen if millions of people are truly in support of this revolution. Time will tell.
If we get little response then I will assume that my theories are wrong. The people will decide. I’ve been wrong before. It would not be the first time.
netcontrolHere is what I need. I need people to list executive orders and laws that are in violation of our constitutional rights (list everything in the comments below). We will be demanding that these laws and executive orders be repealed.
I need open discussion of what we need to do with the people currently in office. Do we call for new elections? Can we literally remove them all? We are talking about more than Obama here. We have to understand that many people have been compliant (Republicans and Democrats) with the policies and actions that we too easily credit to Obama. This is not a problem isolated to one person. My thought is that they should keep their jobs if they start to work within the framework of the constitution. But if they do not then we will have to forcibly remove them.
**************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Make no mistake the constitution is the law of this land, not public opinion.
We need to discuss policies (foreign and domestic) and cabinet appointments as well. We need to literally make a list of everything that needs to change. We can’t expect everything to change 13603immediately but we must address the issues that are important to freedom. We must list things that are constitutionally based. In other words, I don’t like everything about my government but my major concerns are the things that blatantly violate the constitution. I have to focus on these things and not merely on my opinions. Unless we can constitutionally support our arguments we have no credibility.
What I would like to do is first gather volumes of ideas and then start putting them into a format that we can use. We can’t just start shooting politicians. That will get us nowhere but dead or in jail.
Let’s get our ideas out in the open. We will then gather again to vote on the constitutional relevancy of certain opinions before we submit them to the White House and both branches of our legislature. If they have our “constitutionally based” demands in print and choose not to respond in a manner that we feel conducive to change, then we will move forward to our only remaining option. It will be time bear arms against our government.
borI feel like we have no grounds to call for the revolt until we first present our conditions to our elected officials.
*************************************************************************************************************************************
I am simply offering to be the messenger but ultimately the success or failure depends on you. If this post falls dead in the water with 5 or even 50 comments then we are going nowhere.
This is the time for people of America to speak up if they really want to make changes in this government. Once we have all the terms and conditions ironed out we will formally petition our government. If that goes no where then we will look toward full use of our second amendment rights.
For now you must reject any new attempts to try to infringe on your second amendment rights and if you want to be involved in this “Think Tank” you must do three things for me:
1.By all means I need to your ideas and comments below. Keep them constitutionally based. If you have no ideas or comments, at least let us know that you support us.
2.I need you to join us on Facebook. Why is this important? Well did you notice that this is the first post on a brand new site? We have already been censored once and I need people to gather where we can inform them of developments.
3.If you believe in this cause then you need to help us spread the word. Share it on your social networks or however you possibly can.
I will be watching the development of this post in regards to traffic and comments. I’m all in. I have made the offer. But again, if this ends up being a group of 5 or 50 people trying to push a revolution, we have nothing. The only way this works is if people unite right here and now. On an average blog post, it takes about 150-200 readers to generate 1 comment. If people can’t open their mouths this time then they will simply get what they deserve. I am putting myself out on a limb here. I will not fight for people who will not fight for themselves.
If you agree that this is the only way then you have to come out of hiding and get really loud now. You are allowed to disagree as well. This is America and I support your right to free speech. We have to know where we stand before we can make a decision to move forward.
“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.” -Noah Webster
I put myself out on a limb once before and people responded. Make no mistake, this is a frightening place to be. I have three beautiful girls and twins on the way. I am afraid for my safety and theirs, but my biggest fear is that they will have to live with the results of an American public resolved to cowardice. America must wake up. Apathetic no more! We must do something.

Our Constitution was not written in the sands to be washed away
Our Constitution was not written in the sands to be washed away by each wave of new judges blown in by each successive political wind.
For those who did not know the severity of that which is taking place in their country on a daily basis concerning some of the immoral, anti-constitutional and anti-American decisions coming down from the judges that have turned “judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth” (Amos 5:7), you might want to consider that they themselves are to be ruled by the laws of our constitutional republic – just like the people they are to serve with “equality” which is “under law,” not to be based on contrived opinions.
Remember what John Adams, the second president of the United States, said while making an open declaration:
“Our Constitution is made for a moral and a religious (under the umbrella of Christianity) people, it is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
The talking-head conservatives of the day are responsible for diverting their listeners’ attention from America’s founding documents and neglecting to make any reference to the laws of our republic. Instead they are using today’s serious issues as an entertaining topic of debate, all the while painting America into a corner. These entertainers say much without any substantive content to preserve America’s blood-bought liberties while implying that somehow the federal government, including the Supreme Court, has some immunity through executive, legislative or judicial powers to break the laws they have sworn to uphold. They fail to tell the American public that any law that is contrary to the Constitution is null and void – it is pretended legislation.
President Andrew Jackson stated:
“If the Supreme Court is the final arbiter of what the Constitution says, then we have ceased to be our own rulers (under God), and the Supreme Court is our ruler.”
While much of America will proclaim their love for this country by stating that they love her so much they would die for her, I would simply submit to my readers: Do you love your country enough to live for her?

Right Wing Propaganda Has Done Nothing But Incite Fear and Hatred of All Americans
Right Wing Propaganda Has Done Nothing But Incite Fear and Hatred of All Americans
America hate
Most people have interacted with an unusually prejudiced, spiteful, or maliciously ill-willed person whose hostility towards other human beings raises questions about their humanity. In America, there is a scourge of malevolence towards other citizens based on all manner of bigotry, but bigotry does not explain the aspirations of some Americans to increase the suffering of their fellow citizens that are likely in the same socioeconomic demographic and share the same political ideology. Republicans typically support policies that favor the wealthy and corporations at the expense of the people, but it is a mistake to attribute growing conservative animus towards other Americans solely as collateral damage of the GOP’s deference for the rich. However, there is deep-seated malice among Republicans for the American people that is not founded solely in economic policy, and it informs that conservatives are callous human beings driven by seemingly sheer hatred toward humanity that Republicans have tapped into and propagated among their supporters for political expediency.
The level of hatred among conservatives, for what seems like all Americans, can reasonably be attributed to Republican politicians, right-wing media, and more than anything, a long-festering fear of change in a rapidly-changing America. It is true the election of Barack Obama in 2008 brought out racial animus endemic to white supremacists and bigots in the population, but it does not explain increased expressions of hate elicited from religious fanatics toward gays and women, suspicion and open hostility towards Hispanics, denying food and healthcare to people in need, and increasing calls for civil war.
In a West Point study on the growing danger of violence from right-wing extremist groups, they laid out three major ideological movements; a racist white supremacy movement, an anti-government movement, and a fundamentalist Christian movement that have always existed in this country, but they became the purview of the GOP represented in the RNC’s platform for the 2012 general election. This is not to say that Republicans promote right-wing extremism with a view towards violence against the government or other Americans, but their support for policies the extremists hold near and dear to their black hearts lends legitimacy to hate movements that are becoming mainstream among conservatives and having deleterious effects on the population.
Although the West Point study isolated three ideological movements threatening violence, combined they represent Republican policies conservatives gravitated towards after four years of rhetoric against the perceived Obama threat; change. For example, white supremacists and racists are concerned with what they perceive as the natural racial and cultural hierarchy that defined America up until the Civil Rights Movement and persists today, and their goal of reasserting control over African Americans and minority communities is co-opted by Republican complaints that President Obama is stealing from white people to give to African Americans. When Republican supporters advocate cutting food stamps, healthcare, and any other assistance the GOP hates, racist groups assume they are cutting assistance to minorities regardless that a higher percentage of white people use food stamps than African Americans and Hispanics combined. Republicans understand the demographic distribution of food stamps, but they know the quickest way to inspire support for cutting them is inspiring underlying racial hatred permeating the right.
Republicans have also tapped into, and garnered support from, the anti-government advocates whose main interest is undermining the legitimacy and effective sovereignty of the federal government over a wealth of issues from religious hatred of non-conformity to immigration to guns. Whether it is anti-gay sentiment, anti-women’s reproductive rights, or teaching religion in public schools, Republicans in Congress and state legislatures instigated a level of hate among so-called “Christians” that is wreaking havoc on women and gays in primarily Southern states. Of particular note is the religious-right’s opposition to women’s choice and the ardent support of Christian women for policies that adversely affect other Christian women with invasive probes, forced birth, and having to prove they were “legitimately raped.” It never ceases to amaze how a woman, a good Christian woman, could support a policy demanding a rape victim confirm they were assaulted or be forced to give birth, or deprive them of cancer and health screenings. What kind of deep-seated hatred for another human being drives a woman to help incur suffering on a victim of a heinous crime, or deny cancer screening? Unfortunately, the depth of hate among alleged “Christians” is beyond quantification, and on myriad issues from supposed “pro-life” advocates supporting gun proliferation, to “personhood” advocates denying assistance the moment the baby is born, hatred is the driving force.
It is not just right-wing extremists, racial hate groups, or religious extremists projecting hate on their fellow Americans, it is the entire conservative movement. There is little difference between Paul Ryan decrying wasting good government money on feeding the poor and the millions of Americans who support slashing safety net spending to provide healthcare and food aid to their neighbor, grandmother, or brother. It is hatred of humanity and nothing else.
Republicans have assailed the federal government for myriad sins from immigration lapses to gun control that is driving Americans filled with hate to start shooting at the drop of a hat, or mistaken address. In Georgia, a man walked out of his home and opened fire on a car that pulled up to his house after the car’s GPS gave the driver the wrong address. One young man was killed and the man was arrested, but the point is his first reaction was to go out shooting and it is an increasing problem driven by fear-mongering, the NRA, and ALEC’s incitement to shoot first. A human being must have an inordinate amount of hate to pick up a firearm and gun down another human being in cold blood as an instant reaction.
What Americans are witnessing today is the culmination of four years of ultra-right wing propaganda inciting fear of change and hatred for other Americans; all Americans. There is no doubt that people who might have been decent human beings at one point, have been poisoned by the incessant fear mongering and attacks on “the other” that represents a changing America, and America is changing and that is conservative’s problem. There is no doubt Republicans in Congress hate Americans, they prove it with every proposal, obstruction, and Draconian legislation they attempt to pass, but they would never attempt such inhumane measures if they did not have a large segment of the population sharing their hate for their fellow citizens. But as America changes, those who either cannot let go of the America that kept minorities and women in submissive roles, or harken back to a fallacy era where the Ten Commandments were immutable edicts on morality, are finding themselves in a fearful situation. The danger is when frightened people feel loss, and when your politician, television news, and church tells you change endangers your way of life, fear and loss give way to hate and anger; the result is America with a large segment of anti-government religious racists with guns and four years of hate looking for an outlet they are finding in Republican policies and on America’s streets.

Fear of the Federal Government is not radical
Fear of the Federal Government is not radical
Our education “system” is broken. When the main stream media can get away with making the argument that it is “dangerous” to stir the people up to fear their government, which may lead to violence, shows their ignorance of our history and founding.
Our founders were skeptical and inherently suspicious of centralized power. The creation of the federal government only barely made it past the state ratification process. Along the way to ratification, several additions to the constitution, including the addition of the Bill of Rights was imperative because of the absolute distrust of a central “authority”. The state’s and founders had to not only build the argument for ratification, but also build a barrier to protect the states from an over reaching central authority by including the Tenth Amendment, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”, otherwise the federal government would have never become a reality. This mistrust and fear of a central authority permeated the country and was the foundation of the greatest form of government ever derived by men. Regarding government; they knew less was more and more was a threat to all.
As we watch pundits make the arguments that some types of speech against the government can “enflame” violence toward the government, I ask you; what does the first amendment say; “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The founders and our ancestors that agreed to ratify the constitution knew what was bound to happen by empowering a central government. So they included what they considered clear restrictions on the authority of the federal government because they did not trust any central authority. Today we find ourselves right where our founders predicted, but fortunately their fear, foresight, and protections are clearly documented in the constitution.
Listen closely when pundits and politicians talk about “types” of speech. The type of speech they are targeting to control either through a “chilling” effect or outright legislation is the speech we are engaging in against our government and its policies. We are assembling peaceably through tea parties and trying to redress our grievances. Is this not exactly what our founders were protecting us against? Is fear of the federal government unfounded? Were our founders radicals? Would our founders consider the tea party movement dangerous or patriotic?
Our founders were brilliant and prophetic about the rights they knew must be etched in stone because they were God given, and would one day come under assault from tyrannical forces. Those tyrannical forces are among us. We must teach our history or we will be throwing away our future

There is no such thing as the middle class
There is no such thing as the middle class
By Herman Cain
Recently, our friends at rare.us published a poll that indicated the so-called “middle class” has changed in terms of its interest in owning a home, having a steady job and so forth. What’s really interesting about this poll, I think, is that it doesn’t really tell you anything. That’s interesting because it gets to the heart of the truth about the American middle class.
The middle class is by and large an invention of the political class and the news media. The truth is there is no such thing. Even President Obama’s definition of the middle class tends to shift depending on which speech he is giving, or which ideological agenda he is pushing on a given day.
The “middle class” is really little more than a convenient benchmark that politicians and reporters use to suit their needs. There is no definable group of people that always stays within this mythical group we’ve come to refer to as the middle class.
The closest you can get to a viable definition is more a feeling than anything else. People used to recognize middle class as a certain state of well-being. It was the idea that a family with a little money, but far from wealthy, could be reasonably happy and stable if they lived within their needs. When I was growing up, our family was definitely at the lower end of the income scale, but we didn’t feel like we were “lower class.” There was no bureaucrat or liberal journalist standing around telling us to think of ourselves as poor, so we didn’t.
Politicians and the media would have you believe there is a defined group of people whose incomes fall between Point A and Point X on the income scale, and who will fit this definition for the rest of their lives. They can never do any better, and so they need the help of the government to have any hope of education, retirement, health care or whatever else.
This is simply not true.
For one thing, today’s $30,000 earner could be earning $100,000 five or 10 years later. Most people who earn a lot did not always earn a lot. In your typical “middle class” neighborhood you could have one family that has a lot of money saved, but is perfectly happy to live a modest lifestyle, right next to a family whose mortgage is underwater and is desperately hanging on.
They might have exactly the same income and comparable homes, but there is no way you can reasonably say they’re in the same situation or have the same needs. But if you’re a politician trying to pander to a wide swath of the electorate, you lump everyone into this vaunted “middle class” and tell them all that you’re looking out for them.
It’s all a con. There is no monolithic them. To the extent that you recognize classes at all, people move between different classes all the time, and no two people who have the same income are in the exact same situation.
This is why the best economic policy refrains from trying to cater to classes and just gets out of the way of prosperity. Everyone has their own goals and their own plans for how to achieve them. No one can define success for anyone else, just as no one can tell anyone else what their American Dream should be. I certainly wish Obama would stop trying because his version of the American dream – a little money for retirement, health insurance – is not very inspiring.
If class is anything, it is a mindset. I’ve always had an upper class mindset because I knew what was in myself, and I didn’t limit myself to what it said on my paystub or on my bank statement. People who have an upper class mindset want freedom above all else, because they know what they’ve got in themselves. If folks think, in order to survive, they need free stuff instead of freedom, then survive is the most they will ever do.
