"I don't know how to save the world. I don't have the answers or The Answer. I hold no secret knowledge as to how to fix the mistakes of generations past and present. Hillary: Those five Taliban? Don’t worry about ‘em. They’re ‘not a threat.’

Unfortunately, President Obama disagrees.

Hillary: Those five Taliban? Don’t worry about ‘em. They’re ‘not a threat.’

Over the weekend, we heard from Secretary of State John “Lurch” Kerry, who informed us that the five Taliban detainees released by Obama were just a bunch of blowhards. Never mind the fact that we used to think they were top level targets, so dangerous that they were captured, shipped to Cuba, and held in a maximum security facility. That was the “old” Taliban captives.  The “new” Taliban captives - who have vowed to attack the U.S. again - are just a bunch of “baloney” filled windbags.

Guess what?  Hillary Clinton agrees.  She recently took some time away from explaining how she was “broke” to make sure you know that you don’t need to worry about these guys.

Don’t you feel better already?  After all, when Hillary was Secretary of State, her department never underestimated the threat level, right?

Unfortunately, she’ll have a long way to go if she wants to convince most Americans that the Taliban swap was a good idea.  The overwhelming majority think it was a disastrous blunder. It seems they feel that releasing five high-level commanders while combat operations are still ongoing was, at best, a naive decision.

I don’t know where people are getting the idea that these ex-prisoners could possibly pose a threat to US citizens and interests, but whoever is spreading that rumor needs to knock it off…..
