OBAMA FANS THE FLAMES OF RACISM IN A STUNNING FAILURE OF LEADERSHIP

OBAMA FANS THE FLAMES OF RACISM IN A STUNNING FAILURE OF LEADERSHIP

If the country, and in particular the substandard and highly volatile leadership of this country had the presence of mind that we find in the Michael Brown family, America would not have gone to bed with the threat of racially motivated nationwide violence. The Brown family was understandably upset by the Grand Jury’s verdict. However, at the same time, Michael Brown’s father made some stunningly profound and wise comments as he called for calm. He said he wanted his son’s death to stand for positive change, not to be the impetus of rioting and senseless violence. In the midst of all the chaos, is it hard to not only grieve for the loss of the Brown family, but to admire their maturity and character. If only Mr. Brown could trade places with the current POTUS.

Michael Brown was shot and killed by Officer Wilson on August 9, 2014. The appropriateness of the officer’s actions were reviewed by a Grand Jury. The jury members were not sequestered. Therefore, they read the same newspapers and watched the same TV news reports as the rest of the country. The Grand Jury was fully cognizant of the enormous implications of the Grand Jury’s actions. The pressure was enormous. These Grand Jury members knew that their actions would be scrutinized in the months ahead for objectivity and signs of a cover-up.  There was no cover-up. There was only justice, arrived at under a very watchful eye of the public that will surely review every nuance of the decision. At the end of the day, the decision to not indict had nothing to do with the violence we see across America today. The backlash was predetermined by an administration in need of a distraction from its criminal actions.

The Grand Jury’s Options and Consequences

Regardless of the verdict, there was going to be rioting, looting and violence. Why? Because of people like Eric Holder, Al
the architect of Fast and Furious, fanned the flames of racial violence.

Sharpton and President Obama. Each of the three leaders fanned the flames of hatred and racism. I expected this kind of behavior from someone like Al Sharpton who sees racism in every social situation in America. Racism gives Sharpton his purpose for living. He is like an oncologist that would hate to see a cure for cancer. Without racism, Sharpton would have to find a real job!

Obama fanned the fames of racial violence

Obama fanned the fames of racial violence
Last night. with his incendiary remarks, Obama fanned the fames of racial violence

This morning on FOX News, the local talk show media in St. Louis is reporting that the Grand Jury’s verdict was leaked to the Washington Post. This forced the hand of St. Louis officials in announcing the verdict prematurely, before the police could be fully deployed. Clearly, as the nation watched the unfolding of the violence, following the verdict, the police and the national guard were not fully deployed. Time and time again, the St. Louis media is accusing Holder and the Justice Department of being the source of the leak. Since St. Louis officials and the Justice Department were conducting a joint investigation into the shooting of Michael Brown, who else could have leaked the decision? The early hours of the unchecked rioting and looting and violence can assuredly be laid at the feet of Eric Holder and the Justice Department.

As far as fanning the flames of racially motivated violence, Holder is in good company. Nowhere, is the more evidence of race-baiting than we are seeing out of the White House. Last night, following the release of the verdict, Obama addressed the nation. His early comments were what we should expect of the President.  He called for peaceful protest, but urged calm in the aftermath of verdict. If  Obama would have shut his mouth at this point, his leadership, in this matter, would have been seen as responsible and  that he was making a good faith effort to guide the nation through this crisis without any undue violence. However, and true to form of this former community activist/antagonist, Obama could not leave well enough alone as his remarks turned inflammatory as he said the following:

“…there are real problems and a deep distrust that exists between law enforcement and people of color around the country. We need to recognize that the situation in Ferguson speaks to the broader challenges that we face across the nation…”

Obama’s irresponsible and  inflammatory comments were not what the nation needed to hear at this time of extreme emotionality. In 30 seconds, Obama fanned the flames of racial discord. In these 30 seconds, Obama reverted back to his all-to-familiar role as the community activist in Chicago as he displayed a deep mistrust for law enforcement officers across the country. No, I am not saying that race relations between various communities and the police are not strained and do not need attention. They are in some cases, and these concerns should be addressed. However, at this time of unprecedented emotional volatility, this was not the time make such a set of inflammatory statements. For a moment last night, I could not tell if I was listening to a Presidential address to the nation or a race-baiting tirade from Al Sharpton.

President Obama

Mr. President, your job last night was to call for calm and EVERY word coming out of mouth should have served that purpose. You failed in your duty as the Chief Executive.  Mr. President, what would you say to the owners of the dozen Ferguson businesses that were burned down last night? Many of these businesses were black-owned businesses! Did they deserve this?  If I were one of these business owners, I would hold you, Mr. President, partially responsible for the devastating losses suffered last night. Mr. President, since you have taken office, you have been a one-man wrecking crew for the people of the United States, regardless of their race. Here are more examples of the failure of your leadership.

Arent we, as Americans, embarrassed by this conduct?

No More Than a Useful Pawn
A useful pawn for this administration

A useful pawn for this administration
Michael Brown: A useful pawn for this administration

Seventy six brave police officers lost their lives in the line of duty last year in service to their communities. Did Obama and Holder call even one of these  fallen officers family members?  Did they attend even one of their funerals? When Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry, was murdered by a gun supplied to the Mexican drug cartels in Operation Fast and Furious, did Obama and Holder reach out to the Terry family, offer words of condolences or attend his funeral? Why is Michael Brown so important to this administration? This administration is using Michael Brown as a political tool of distraction. Obama and Holder do not truly care for Michael and his family.

Brian Terry: Cast aside like garbage by Holder and Obama. Where is the outrage here?
Brian Terry: Cast aside like garbage by Holder and Obama. Where is the outrage here?
Brian Terry: Cast aside like garbage by Holder and Obama after being killed in the line of duty. Where is the outrage here?

Why did Obama and Holder fan the flames of overt racism and engage in a display of mistrust for the legal system in America?  Simple, Obama and Holder need distractions that will take the nation’s eyes away from Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the IRS harassment scandal, Tea Party harassment, et al. Divide and conquer along racial lines is Obama’s best friend. Right now, he’s got the nation focused on something other than his own scandals. I look for more racially dividing speeches from the White House in the upcoming days.

Conclusion

The aftermath and the effect of the verdict can be felt across the country as we are now seeing widespread civil unrest.  Again, I lay much of this at the feet of Al Sharpton, Eric Holder and President Obama. In all likelihood, this is just the beginning.

To the Michael Brown family, I pray that God comforts you in your time of loss and grieving. There will come a time when the cameras and media spotlight disappear and Michael’s family will be left to deal with this horrible tragedy on their own.  I pray that God comforts the family through the difficult days ahead. I also pray for the soul of Michael. I further pray that America can quickly move beyond the verdict and some good can come from this event. Finally, I pray that all Americans realize that the fundamental problems in this country are not caused by the fact that we have people with different skin colors living in American. Rather, our problems in this country emanate from the bankers who have hijacked our government and they do not have our best interest at heart as evidenced by the repeated transgressions of Holder and Obama.
