Have we forggotten our roots:
We are gauranteed "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." Nothing more. And we were not GIVEN these rights from our Government we were "endowed with them by our creator". If you believe in God and he gave us these rights or you do not and we have these rights simply by being human is immaterial, the Government gives us no rights we have them already.
The government does not relinquish power once given it. We have watched the government grow every day since day one. The government is no more qualified than you or I to do anything in the financial, social, or private sector. In fact they are less qualified; check how many Government programs have been failures throughout time.
We were founded on a basic form of Government that leaves us ALONE. If you by your actions hurt no one or tread on others rights then the Governement is to have a Laissez Faire approach to us. They are OUR servants not the other way around. They can vote a raise to themselves! Can you do the same. NO! They get a pension for life for serving one term! Do you? NO! You see we have slowly given up our freedoms for creature comforts to the point that now the Government wants to take more "for our own good" or for the "good of the many".
If you do not think we are headed strait for tyranny, opression and slavery then you my freinds are sorely mistaken. Do not get me wrong; there is NO ONE in polotics that are free from this guilt. We MUST stop the Nationaization of our financial system. We MUST secure our borders. We MUST stop meddling in the affairs of the world; Thomas Jefferson said " It is against our system to embarrass ourselves with treaties, or to entangle ourselves at all with the affairs of Europe." At this time the only "modern" societies were considered to be Europe; so let us apply it to the rest of the world. Pull our troops home and station them on the borders. Do not bail out ANY company that is poorly managed; those employees that brought this to us should be unemployed, those companies should be allowed to tank. No one would bail you out!
Wake up "we the people" if this continues we may not have a country left when it's over.
