Barack Obama: There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President

Quote Of The Day

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the president offered up the following opinion during a recent interview in The New Yorker…

There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President. Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black President. — President Barack Obama

To be quite honest, I am truly surprised the president actually said this himself. After years of his supporters, especially leftist mouthpieces parroting the charge that any opposition to his proven failed policies were racially motivated, I thought he would finish out his second term letting others do his talking for him.

But as he decided to go there, it deserves a rebuttal whether he likes it on not.

While Barack Obama now says “some folks really dislike” him “because they don’t like the idea of a black president, let’s not forget that over the course of two presidential elections, he received more votes than any black man in the history of this nation. Hardly a sign of his being disliked because of the color of his skin.

It was this president who, along with his administration, has selectively taken the black side of things instead of representing the country as a whole.

After running as a color-blind candidate, one of his first acts as president-elect was to lecture the country on race. His attorney general soon after called the United States of America a “nation of cowards” and then dropped a case against the New Black Panther Party in a case of clear voter intimidation at a Philadelphia polling place.

The president, before the investigation was completed, publicly indicted a city’s police department as acting “stupidly” for arresting a black professor who mouthed off instead of cooperate with them. After the tragic shooting of a black teen in Florida, the president chose a side and said, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.” And now with an epidemic of mostly black-on-white “knockout” games being perpetrated across the nation, Obama’s Just Us Department has decided to investigate one as a hate crime: the only public incident of a black person being hit by a white.

Despite his using the power of the White House for what looks to many as “whitey payback”, President Barack Obama has finally come out and blamed his low approval numbers on racism.

Of course, it has nothing to do with a poor economy that he clearly inherited but has does all the wrong things to correct.

Every successful president has known and implemented across-the-board tax cuts and reduction of regulations to turn the economy around: the two things this president refuses to do. Besides tanking the economy, his IRS selectively hassled his political opposition, his NSA has been actively spying on fellow Americans (one would assume white and black alike), and he has burdened millions of Americans with the loss of their health care after three dozen promises that they’d be able to keep the coverage and doctors.

Obama’s disapproval has little to do with racism and more to do with his unfortunate policy of fiscal stubbornness.

For over six years, President Obama has blamed most of his difficulties on others, primarily former president George W. Bush. It was only a matter of time before he got around to us.
