MEN OF PEACE

MEN OF PEACE
"I don't know how to save the world. I don't have the answers or The Answer. I hold no secret knowledge as to how to fix the mistakes of generations past and present. I only know that without compassion and respect for all Earth's inhabitants, none of us will survive - nor will we deserve to." Leonard Peltier

Battlefield United States from A – Z

Battlefield United States from A – Z

absolute control of the flow of information May 2, 2013

I’m guessing that most Americans are unaware of the fact that the United States is now a battlefield. Personally, I am horrified by this new platform of supposed peace and safety that touts a sanitized version of freedom in the “war on terrorism.” Yet it is the law. Soon after the Boston Marathon tragedy, Representative Peter King, (R-NY) remarked, “Also, the battlefield is in the United States.”
Though saying this does not make it so, Peter King knows of what he speaks. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), aka The Homeland Battlefield Act, was signed into law and then renewed by President Obama December 2011 and December 2012.
In a nutshell, whenever the president and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) say that the “battlefield” is in effect, all due process of civil law is suspended and replaced by the laws of war.  From A-Z, here is the language and meaning of the battlefield.
A – Attention! The United States is not as it appears.
B – Battlefield. The battlefield is legally defined as a war-zone.
C – Control and Compliance. On the battlefield, you lose individual control and become subject to government laws of war.
D – Drones. Drones, flying robotic instruments of war have already deployed in foreign countries to monitor and attack people as deemed necessary. Drones have begun to be deployed in the United States for the same purpose.
E – Enemy Combatant. An American can be declared by Homeland Security and the President to be an Enemy Combatant under NDAA stripping them of all due-process rights.
F – Force. The use of force is justified and exonerated by the laws of war.

G – Government supremacy. As seen in Watertown with the Boston tragedy, the President put on his Commander in Chief hat giving both the president and Homeland Security absolute control of the flow of information to the public.
H – Homeland Security.  On the battlefield, Homeland Security and the president make all decisions without approval from Congress.
I – Indefinite Detention. On the battlefield, United States or elsewhere, if you are declared an Enemy Combatant, you can be held indefinitely without the due process of Miranda rights, rights to an attorney,  judge, jury or trial.
J – Journalists. Journalists such as Chris Hedges are rightly concerned about their freedom of speech and the possibly being declared an Enemy Combatant.
K – Katherine Forrest. In 2012 Judge Katherine Forrest made portions of the NDAA null and void because they were found unconstitutional. Within 24 hours of her ruling, the Obama Administration appealed her decision and it was reversed based on national security.
L – Lockdown. “Lockdown” is a term used by prisons when they need to take extraordinary measures to control the prison population. While searching for the perpetrators after the Boston Marathon. the municipality of Watertown was put on lockdown.  People could not leave their homes until the lockdown was officially lifted, though it was said to be voluntary.

M – Militarization. With over 160 military bases worldwide, the United States not only polices the world but also local police departments have become militarized within the U.S. borders due to a great deal of federal funding and training in exchange for new equipment.
N – Napolitano. Under the Homeland Security leadership of Janet Napolitano, billions of hollow-core bullets have been purchased. For what? For whom?
O –  Oversight. Several Congressional committees have virtual oversight over the Department of Homeland Security but ACTUALLY let it do whatever it wants.
P – Posse Comitatus. Federal government powers are supposed to be limited in the use of federal military personnel to enforce State laws under the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878. However, the use of military drones to kill American citizens is not “inherently illegal,” as long as that citizen is a “combatant,” said a constitutional expert to a Senate panel after the Boston bombing.http://josephfreedomoranarchy.blogspot.com/2014/01/posse-comitatus-act.html
Q – Question Authority. To question the authority of uniformed security on the battlefield is at the risk of being hauled off.
R – Respect. Security forces, first responders and/or anyone in a government-assigned uniform are the new super-class that garners respect above the civilian.
S – Shelter-in-Place. This is a phrase regarding having a minimum of 3-days worth of supplies at all times in one’s home so that if authorities put an area on lockdown, the people living there will not need to go out for supplies.
T – Trespass Act. This act does not stop protest but makes it a whole lot more difficult: HR 347, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011.
U – Utah Data Center. The NSA’s Utah data center, near completion, is mandated to intercept every phone call, email, and tweet sent across the Internet.
V – Violence Prevention. Regarding a newly funded violence prevention unit in Florida “We want people to call us if the guy down the street says he hates the government…”  Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, April 29, 2013
W – Warentless. Security forces had no warrants or probable cause to enter homes in Watertown, Massachusetts but based on a Forth Amendment exception called, exigent circumstance, they said, “We’re coming in”. Exigent circumstance is used when a situation is determined to be an emergency requiring immediate response.
X, Y, Z – Zero Tolerance. “Might makes right.” Obey or else.
Make no mistake, I hope you realize this is not about some future possibility; the battlefield is now the legal infrastructure of the United States.

Think outside the box. Live outside the cage.
