I Shutter on Ocassion
I Shutter on Ocassion
I thought I was pretty shutter proof, but I do shutter on occasion. There is a woman who hangs out occasionally where I sell the homeless newspaper Street Roots, who can get to me.
Most of the time she is yelling and saying crazy stuff at the folks passing by. She is short, probably in her sixties and although her clothes are ratted out a bit, you can see at one point she knew how to dress.
I will playfully call bullsh*t on some of the more absurd things coming out of her mouth, or laugh at other things. What she says, what she does, even how she smells doesn’t get to me. However, some times she wears her gray hair flared out and there is just tons of crazy looking dandruffy stuff in there and it makes me blanch every time.
I share cigarettes when I have them and she is always grateful. Occasionally she will even call me handsome. Last night she said, “You put a cigarette out in mouth.”
I did no such thing,” I replied. “You did, so I took a picture.” “Nope,” I held firm. “Well they used to put them out in my eyes when I was a kid.”
This surprised me, sometimes you will get small glimpses of the wounded psyche mixed in with the gibberish, but this was a full blown moment. I told her how sorry I was that something like that happened to her. “You’re not sorry no one is, no ones gives a sh*t.”
She wandered off to harass some folks waiting for the bus, they just kept their heads down and tried to ignore her. I told her to leave them alone.
She came yelling back at me that I wasn’t the boss. We had another short conversation around this and she was gone.
I will see her asleep in doorways around downtown and she just never seems to have enough blankets. Pray for my girl folks, I love her so.
Hobo Metaphysic of the Day: Pray for others and God prays for you.
John wants you to know: “I’m not for the government doing more to help these folks.
Their help tends to come with a lot of humiliation, stipulations, and rules, but I am for us finding our hearts again as a people and taking care of our own.”
HOBO JOHN
Hobo John here, I am a fifty year old man currently living in a small town in Idaho, this is also where I grew up. Like any Idaho boy I love the outdoors, and am a sports enthusiast. But I also love the arts and paint a little myself. In Proverbs it says, "A man's pursuit is his kindness, " and that is my only true mission in life. I like to write about just about anything; songs , children's stories, politics, short stories, however, I have not attempted a novel yet. I also consider myself a bit of a philosopher, after seven years of living the homeless life I actually started to enjoy it. I started writing little phrases that I hope contain some wisdom. I call them Hobo Metaphysics. "Gentle beats the shit out of aggressive," being one of my favorites. Peace to you folks, "I love you with everything that I have." That is my motto and the truth of things.

Anyone is welcome to use their voice here at FREEDOM OR ANARCHY,Campaign of Conscience.THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN AMERICA FOR THOSE WITH OUT MONEY if you seek real change and the truth the first best way is to use the power of the human voice and unite the world in a common cause our own survival I believe that to meet the challenges of our times, human beings will have to develop a greater sense of universal responsibility. Each of us must learn to work not just for oneself, ones own family or ones nation, but for the benefit of all humankind. Universal responsibility is the key to human survival. It is the best foundation for world peace,“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth.” Love and Peace to you all stand free and your ground feed another if you can let us the free call it LAWFUL REBELLION standing for what is right
