MEN OF PEACE
"I don't know how to save the world. I don't have the answers or The Answer. I hold no secret knowledge as to how to fix the mistakes of generations past and present. I only know that without compassion and respect for all Earth's inhabitants, none of us will survive - nor will we deserve to." Leonard Peltier

THE PALLADIUM OF LIBERTY

Democrats want to take the guns of Americans on the NO FLY list. And all Americans who are not on the no fly list, Republicans want due process

THE PALLADIUM OF LIBERTY

Prohibition of weapons was always meant to preserve the privilege, wealth, and power of the aristocracy.
Prohibition of weapons is what today’s socialists promote.
To preserve the power, privileges, and wealth of the elites who fund the
Clinton Foundation.
Throughout history the powerful, privileged and wealthy - today we call them ‘elites’ - expropriated the firearms of the underprivileged and powerless.
St. George Tucker shows just how limited the government was supposed to be, when he compares our Second Amendment with the English law it was based on.
‘In England, the people have been disarmed, generally, under the specious pretext of preserving the game: a never failing lure to bring over the landed aristocracy to support any measure, under that mask, though calculated for very different purposes. True it is, their bill of rights seems at first view to counteract this policy: but the right of bearing arms is confined to protestants, and the words suitable to their condition and degree, have been interpreted to authorize the prohibition of keeping a gun or other engine for the destruction of game, to any farmer, or inferior tradesman, or other person not qualified to kill game. So that not one man in five hundred can keep a gun in his house without being subject to a penalty’...”
Throughout history the powerful took the weapons from the less powerful. It is the same today: the powerful masquerade as not being powerful. It’s an act.
For example, when Democrats held BOTH houses of Congress AND the presidency, they did NOTHING to prevent terrorists from getting guns. They did nothing to take the guns of civilians. They waited until the “Right Time,” to use any incident to attain an objective that had nothing to do with the incident.
Today they will do nothing to get guns out of the hands of criminals or impose draconian punishment for gun crimes. Instead they will impose draconian punishment for the law abiding who did not commit any crime.
The earliest constitutional scholar, St. George Tucker, explains it, calling the 2nd Amendment using the language of its time. “The Palladium of Liberty.”

The kerfuffle in Congress over guns is simple to understand:

The Democrats want to take the guns of Americans on the NO FLY list. And all Americans who are not on the no fly list. Simple.
The Republicans want Americans on the no fly list to get DUE PROCESS before their guns are taken. They want Americans to keep their guns. Simple.
The two don’t agree, not because the Republicans wanted to give al Q’aeda guns - it is the line the Democrats give their constituents who believe what is not so; but because the Democrats want to take the guns of Americans at all costs…including denying them due process. The Democrats then held a sit-in, which in fact was a fund-raising event meant to raise money for their congressional runs so they can deny Americans their rights, their due process, and their freedom.
Born in Bermuda in 1752, Tucker migrated to Virginia in 1772 to study at The College of William and Mary. 2 After a brief tenure at the College, Tucker read law under the direction of Williamsburg attorney George Wythe, one of the most eminent lawyers in the American colonies and a mentor to many prominent young men, including Thomas Jefferson. 3 Because of the onset of the American Revolution, in which Tucker served as a member of the Virginia militia, Tucker did not begin his law practice until 1782.
